Laugh as loud as you like in your empty void of a world....but i had a lovely day, went to a nice church up west, walked around regents park awhile and trousered 25k (you see the trouble with navel gazing is you never get to see the bigger picture...). We'll see how worthless 'Vermin certificates' are after the scheduled November show 'The early works of Robin Gunningham' which thanks to the poor performance at the L+T sale has no doubt expanded by five pieces.....i believe that makes some 30 works to be displayed, personally i'm looking forward to the invitation (apparently it's a toffs only policy).
Tell you what though if i owned some 'Banksy prints' (which i don't) i'd be a little worried as to their future worth, nasty little side effect of PC's control freakery is the prints are becoming only marginally more valuable than those 'Vermin certificates' (signed by Jack Shit).... funny old world when the one you love hurts you most...enjoy!

Biggerbird IS Tenminutesfromnow, I checked my outbox and he was quizzing me about being anti or pro-streetpieces, and that he has a few pieces himself - i have never bought a removed streetpiece or a piece without provenance, and all pieces i have bought are via official sources and come with full provenance from Laz and Pest Control, not like you who bought a fake, you f**kwit. Why go with personal attacks over simply posting factual posts? If so inclined, one could publicize some sketchy dealing you've had such as the Ron English SG fiasco, amongst other issues. When you yourself have a checkered past, it would wise to avoid going personal. It's a small world, and sometimes people you are trying to impress will learn details that would overshadow any positive strides you've attempted to make because of your lack of discretion.

Vermin is an anonymous board issuing authentication certificates for work the artist refuses to authenticate. This is doomed to failure because it lacks transparency and the artist is authoritative, you and Vermin might not like it but that's just the way the market works and I find it hard to believe you don't know that.

The rest that gets thrown about - obeying the artists wishes, the price of prints (eh?), the sanctity of street art, the honour of preserving work, retrospective shows, whether or not people own street art - this is just noise. At this level in the auction market collectors can be pretty amoral but the one thing they care about is proper authentication and as you get more up market they get even more so.

God Robin, you are a f**king moron on so many levels, stealing street pieces, this enormous failed auction of yours at L & T, the now obvious failure of your company "Vermin", and your assertion of PC ruining the price of prints is absolutely ludicrous.

I am assuming this must be your first foray into art, so far it's been an enormous success: thieving pieces, dealing in fakes, and the culmination, today's miserable showing at L &T. Robin, the art community and most importantly art BUYERS have judged the Vermin authentication you offer is worth about as much as the paper you wipe your ass with.

By the way, when the economy is in the toilet, the first thing to fail is prints. Prices on prints are down across the board, all areas of art, not just Banksy. Disclaimer, I not only dont own a Banksy print but I dont own any print for the very reason I just pointed out.

Robin is apparently quoted in that article, he apparently had a kate moss work of his go unsold at the same auction.

I suspect urban art buyers stayed faaaaaaaaaaaaar away from this auction because of the provenance issues. Dreweatts hasnt always been the strongest. I think the Bonham's auction will be the teller.
