As the sole owner of this forum I think you have to take a little more responsibility than just shrugging it off.
You have laid down rules for all of the members to follow but you must act when someone blatantly flaunts them.
This forum is the 'first stop' for anyone who has recently found 'Banksy' so you need to offer more to protect them.
'A little bird' has raised quite a few points that really do need adressing.
On a positive note for all members, can you at least agree to look at the points raised and comment?
I am sure ALB would be happy to back up any of his/her comments either publically or in private for you to investigate and act on.

Im guessing your talking about the person making a couple of Banksy prints and trying to sell them on ebay? I have spoken to Banksy's people about it, and they were already aware of the situation. Im not sure I should really say anymore than that, but as always I am happy to take whatever action they feel is right on here in those situations.

you contacted banksy people to let them know about the replicas and if they asked sure you would be more than helpful to them... you do a good job and try not to get down about things...alot of new people join and there is vast amount of information on here which i think is second to none... s

I'm sick of seeing prints bought and sold immediately.I understand people can do what they want but it just pisses me off. I'm scared to buy a Banksy print anywhere but source due to the current situation but the chances of that are minimal due to the madness and unscrupulous goings on at release. The whole thing is turning into a debacle, the spirit has been lost, money rules and so on. I enjoy the forum sometimes but feel despondent on occasions at the attitude of certain members.
I've a load of unsigned Banksy prints for sale as a result of all this. Pm me if you are after anything. The whole thing has just been tainted beyond repair.

i say insert a rule that no flippables can be advertised for sale/swap on the board for three months from their release date to divert them to ebay to incur a well deserved fee (unless they're advertising them @ cost)
if they do, you remove the thread & send them a warning via pm
if they're a repeated offender, ban them

This forum gives information out about how people can authenticate a Banksy Print with PestControl ;D We have a special board for it placed at the top of this board. The forum is also used by POW and Lazarides Galleries to give out useful information to people looking for the work of Banksy.

This forum has always been about self expression and freedom of speech. This includes the ability to sell, trade and swap prints. Flippers have always been frowned upon, but never this much. I've personally had some very threatening PM's from members I will not name. This, as far as I'm concerned, borders on harrasment and is well out of line. It doesn't worry me that much, but it's one hell of an eye opener! The posts directed at Silky also highlight another worrying development. The forum seems to have been claimed by a group of 'police' who use some very dirty tactics to ensure their views are taken on board. Does Silky have any control over you lot? I hope he takes a tough stance and gives this place it's mojo back! It's a disgrace.
