You seem to find the people that are so dead against flippers are actually the ones flipping stuff themselves  Trying to stamp out competition maybe? who knows  Morning Silky  Any news on the pm's not opening? I've got 5 Nola's with sales pending and I can't get people's contact details

A point to remember is nola sold out in what 2 seconds i missed it i think because i was panicing and didnt know how it worked at pow ie dont keep klicking. That aside nola has had some stick since then ie rain drops and no i dont like them that much but i do want a banksy so would have been over the moon to get one for cost.
If you get one and dont want it ( its not what you thought it was) i would say 99% of people would not then say who wants it for cost.
How ever valient that is if you earn 20k a year you will not pass up the opertunity to make 2k in 1 week.

What can we do stick together and help each other as we do but via pm or something will this increase our chances who knows.

This forum has always been about self expression and freedom of speech. This includes the ability to sell, trade and swap prints. Flippers have always been frowned upon, but never this much. I've personally had some very threatening PM's from members I will not name. This, as far as I'm concerned, borders on harrasment and is well out of line. It doesn't worry me that much, but it's one hell of an eye opener! The posts directed at Silky also highlight another worrying development. The forum seems to have been claimed by a group of 'police' who use some very dirty tactics to ensure their views are taken on board. Does Silky have any control over you lot? I hope he takes a tough stance and gives this place it's mojo back! It's a disgrace.
I would suggest that a cut throat mentality is being someone who steals postcards and flyers from a gallery and turns them around to flip them on ebay. That is about as cynical as it gets. So you whiney thief, get a grip, the thing is, if you were even mildly apologetic you wouldnt be gettting nearly as much s**t from members. Instead your attitude is to grab everything you can, show no concern for others who might be attending the show at Lazarides later, and sell sell sell. On top of that your attitude and insults levied towards other members of the board just make you downright unliked. It's repulsive and you deserve every bit of crap you get. This place getting it's mojo back would involve a straight up thief like you being banned from the board, the same way Laz banned you.
Now, as for silky and the ebay/adsense adverts. These are both clearly pay per click. In google adsense the ads conform to the content. In the case of ebay, keywords are chosen by the user for example the following keywords are used with the minus sign to remove those he doesnt want:
Banksy+Nola+Signed+-sticker+-Faile+-dface+-grannies+-trolley+-trolleys+-morons+-b08+-pet+-bailey
However, I will say this board is free, none of us pay for membership, none of us are asked to donate yet hosting costs money and bandwith costs money. Does anyone on this board think for a moment that Silky is independently wealthy and can afford to just subsidize those costs? Although I personally don't like seeing the Nola links up the truth of the matter is anyone on this board looking for Nola is going to hit up ebay first, the prints are on the bay regardless of silky's ad links and I dont see issue with them being directed there from here. In fact, based on the keywords, it appears silky has made sure that the unauthorized Nola by Bailey does NOT appear in the scrolling ads. When you click on those ads, Silky can pay for this site, if you dont like it, then dont click on it.

Much as I hate the flippers, they will always be about when prints are sold on a first come, first served basis and people are willing to pay 3x/4x the original cost.
