FIXED GEAR BIKES - Anyone got one?, by They call me Stephen on Jun 4, 2009 14:10:10 GMT 1, Both are pretty overpriced, there isn't much of a difference between the two really with basic bikes starting from £600+ in both shops. For that kind of money you can make a really good bike using an old road frame with high spec parts rather than the generic cheap parts they both use for their 'cheaper' bikes. You could also make a bike up of similar spec to their cheaper bikes for around £200, with this in mind i would not personally recommend buying a new bike from either. Build your own, its very easy and far more satisfying and you ultimately get a bike you really want rather than one the shop had in stock
