ACID HOUSE 20PLUS YEARS OLD THIS YEAR, by ABC on Mar 28, 2008 22:11:11 GMT 1, I spent every Fri, sat and sunday morning (Breakfast club) doing "big box, little box" I think I did every rave going, starting in at a farmers grain shed off the M25 somewhere. I remember the Police had surrounded the place but we locked it from the inside, I say "we" but there were about 3000 of us. Very early days when Carl Cox, Fabio - Groove rider, Hype etc etc we just about to start making it big. I also remember seeing Prodigy live, well I say live they were just nutters on the stage in those days (Whats new) Those days of meeting at a service station and convoying were the nuts.
1989 with Raindance (Summer of love) bring back great memories. Lazer Drome in Pekham high street was a good Sat night (If you didn't mind getting shot at once in a while - true story)
My local was the Herne Bay rave, that always got pretty messy but what a night - a bloody long long night infact. And to think I left all of that behind and joined the forces in 92, I must have been mad.

ACID HOUSE 20PLUS YEARS OLD THIS YEAR, by Art-el on Mar 28, 2008 22:20:57 GMT 1, ANYTHING Double Dipped, Speckled or pink always did the trick
A great Massive Attack line 'You do a Raindance but your brains still marshed'
Man Paris 'The suicide MC' Huh I'm gonna kill myself'
Starting sleepless weekends at Golddiggers at Chipenham. Then onto the M4 free party seekin.
Falling in love with a different girl every Thurs, Fri and Sat each week.
Names European Bob, Sorted
Amnesia Hse, Double dropping, passing out when the strobes kicked in.
I'm painting a bad picture of myself, I'm much more sensible now. Honest.
I'm out

ACID HOUSE 20PLUS YEARS OLD THIS YEAR, by noodles1 on Mar 28, 2008 22:49:50 GMT 1, I jus missed the Acid House Scene due to not being as old as some of you. When I clubbed I jus caught the tail end of 'The Manor Born' Spennymoor, and the odd fork lift truck through a warehouse wall as an entrance to '24 hour Heaven'. Clubbin for me was when it all got a bit more sofisticated. Back to Basics, Shellys, Hard times, Miss Moneypennies, Feather boas and sequined boobtubes, Sasha and Digweed, Alister Whitehead, Boy George doing a shit mix and 'Jon Pleased Wimmin' Never turning up. We had the specklies and the double dipped tho also the dollers, Bart simpsons and the one I only ever came across once was 'Stars'. Little yellow 'domed' pills. The fuckin best ever, I had 3 (in the days you only needed one really), dancing like a t**t at Sash and digweed 'Renaissance' night at the Empire in middlesbrough. The best night of my fuckin life. It was the first time I ever heard Grace 'Not over Yet' and Billy Ray Martin 'Loving Arms around me'. I can still fell the 'Thud' from the bass in my chest to this day. FUCKIN WICKED TIMES!!!

ACID HOUSE 20PLUS YEARS OLD THIS YEAR, by ABC on Mar 28, 2008 23:24:44 GMT 1, Should start a site, ravers reunite.
RAINDANCE April 1990 at JENKINS LANE. What a night, It started off with finding a £300 roll in tenners alongside a bag of Lemon and Limes before I got in, needless to say the night was a little blurred.
Anyone claiming these two items?
