Of course i was very good friends with woody and i grew up in the Same area as Paul Ockenfold and Carl Cox and Ian Paul who set up Spectrum with Okey .Paul use to work for Def Jam and you would get the likes of the beastie boys and Run DMC in ths very small club in Streatham(Ziggys)

I was never a one a night man. But, I'm still here, not had any mental episodes, never got in debt, held a full time job before, during and after. In fact no ill effects what what so ever, happy days! And here's to Glastonbury.

I must have been banging around - and my Dad came down to see what the commotion was - he said something to me, I composed myself thinking "act normal" and then proceeded to say something that probably sounded like "yaahherrroo oohhhhlammmagursh"
He look bewildered
I look startled by my speaking in tongues.
He shrugged and went back upstairs to bed.

(they even have a Berwick Manor mix on there LOL)
Like everyone else at the time no doubt, I used to spend all my moolah on records and DJ'ing etc - and there were always records I wanted but couldn't get (Once you missed the first release - tough tittys) or couldn't identify what they were called. Anyway, there's about four classics I was always after and couldn't identify on the first mix.

yeah getting home early one night, I was happily necking orange juice by the open fridge door in the dark kitchen, like its going out of fashion, with a few beeds of juice slipping out and down my chin across my neck and carelessly onto my torso...as I looked up my girlfriends father was examining me from head to toe from the kitchen doorway with the type of scrutiny only a girlfriends father can.
I gurningly issued him with a thousand yard stare and a reluctant offer, "sorry, would you like a glass?" as I mopped the juice form my body. that was just the beginning of the worst 24 hours of my life, which I can remember with the type of scrutiny only a banging come-down can offer!!! needless to say the relationship didn't really last the week, but needless to say I was out the follwing night, and weekend...

Here i was watching youtube clips thinking about the good old days, then to find Stevie Hyper D had passed away from the same heart condition i have. I'm lucky that i now have a pacemaker/defibb fitting inside me. I had 2 brothers that were not so lucky!!
But fckuing hell, back in the day i was clueless to this condition and hammered my body.At times like this i sit and think why am i still here,and others not(i know why, but that's private) 
I cringe at the time me and mates hit petrol stations for supplies, totally trashed and looking like we stepped of the 'Thriller' set

Weatherall is the one DJ I'd still pay to see. The guy#s a legend. Remember 'Trip' and the Astoria and Nicky Holloway's 'Special Branch'? I used to go to Special Branch in Tooley Street before it moved to Charing Cross Road. Great times, but this thread (along with my 40th Birthday last Saturday) is making me feel very old...
