do have any idea why DOLK doesn't have a proper website or proper UK representation other than POW. I am sure he could sell a lot of stuff over here, I mean to say I really liked the Che canvas at the Ghetto but it had already gone?

This is turning into a thread like any other.
It's meant to be about music here.
(P.S. isn't POW enough for DOLK in the UK?)

xfm is similar to radio 1 in that it plays the same stuff over and over again, day after day.
if I listen to the radio, its got to be 6music (DAB) all the way for me... no 2 days are the same and the music is just pure eclectic. where else can you hear Tom Waites followed by the Beastie Boys??

Music Chat, by tomhills1 on Mar 3, 2007 0:34:46 GMT 1, very good point, you can have the best playlist on the planet but if that's all you've got, well it's only a matter of time until the boredom sets in. as for the beastie boys, i hear they're playing bestival this year, i would sell members of my family to see them no joke.
also you're right DAB is where it's at, i can get some london stations on a good day, or listen via digital tv. if i had a DAB radio it would solve a lot of problems.

sure are - headlining along with chemical brothers. tickets went on sale today and that's my summer holiday ;D
i've been to many different festivals in the uK over the years (saw the beastie boys at Reading in 98 I think, when they had that run in with The Prodigy and Mixmaster Mike did prob the best intro to a gig Ive seen!) and bestival last year was the best fest Ive been too.... fantastic crowd, beautiful location and such a diverse line up to keep even the most picky music lover happy
if you go to one festival this year, make it Bestival

Jah Wobble, been into his music for years, got lot's of early stuff, I've lost touch recently, top notch IMHO. Hats off to Beastie Boys, Gregory Isaacs, & Dub Pistols, probably lots of other acts I'd like but yet to know enough about, I'll explore tomorrow.

No doubt most of you are saying WHO? but give it a few months & he will become more known to you. He is slowly starting to get air play on 6 music & Jo Whiley is banging on about him so good times are ahead for him. He's a great guy & his tour has just started. He will be playing all over the uk for the next 6 weeks so well worth a visit before the hype kicks in. Have a listen to his myspace site.

two albums by the time they headline, same as the killers. difference being the arctics have two decent albums and they don't sound like a karaoke david byrne.
