Music Chat, by goffy on Mar 3, 2007 13:56:48 GMT 1, Like I say, I have been to Glastonbury a few times and I know what goes on there other than the bands. Why do you think I keep going back. The first time I went I only saw 3 bands and one of them was by mistake. It was running late.

Music Chat, by goffy on Mar 3, 2007 14:12:34 GMT 1, I admit that I haven't seen them live, yet. You never know they might blow me away when I do. I work as a nurse, it's voluntary, but I get in for nothing and also get a guess pass. The guess pass used to be free but now it is half of the ticket price but still a bargain.

Music Chat, by tomhills1 on Mar 3, 2007 15:03:36 GMT 1, good work fella by the way. don't suppose they'd mind a hairy arsed roofer tagging along, dishing out lotions and potions to the afflicted? doubt they'll worry about qualifications and like either.
seriously though, i saw them 4 times last year, twice at festivals. they got a bit of stick over reading but they nailed it for me. quite a few people standing in the crowd expecting to see the resurection, though i'm sure even that would have been a dissapointment to them. at oxegen in ireland they were lower down the bill but were awesome. it was (Removed)ial rain and gale force winds but because the irish were up for a good time, it was for me one of the best performances i've seen.
as a band they are always on the mark, urgent, proficient and with the songs to back it all up. helders drumming is a wonder to behold in itself and the new album being a lot more frantic that's set to continue.
i may be wrong but this years glastonbury will go down as the one the artic monkeys played at.
p.s i thought they were playing on the friday.

Music Chat, by goffy on Mar 3, 2007 18:29:30 GMT 1, I thought I read in the NME that they were on saturday night, I may be wrong. Headliners seem to have the best of everything at festivals i.e. lighting, sound darkness and big crowds. so it should be good. As it was said earlier there is so much more to Glastonbury than the bands, I just hope it doesn't rain like last time. I am not one of those people who think Glasto is better when it's muddy, it's not. It's great to sit on the grass and chill with your mates while the bands play on.

Music Chat, by tomhills1 on Mar 4, 2007 17:00:59 GMT 1, thought i'd put my money where my mouth is and take a risk. i'm going to go and see the twang on friday in tunbridge wells. as i said earlier in this thread, they supported my mates band at koko last year and i couldn't make it. was quite gutted as i'd heard good things about the twang but joe said they were just a bunch of mouthy c**t so that was that. now having thought about it, i think it's only fair to pop along and see for myself. that way i can actually slate them with some qualification! can you tell i don't expect much of them, would be nice to be proved wrong.

Music Chat, by tomhills1 on Mar 4, 2007 19:48:30 GMT 1, that's funny because i've never really been a fan of lily allen. until now.
sing it: ashley cole, is a chelsea batty boy, is a chelsea batty boy, is a chelsea batty boy.
genius, music and football combine with lethal consequences!
now all i need is the best part of a grand to renew my season ticket.

lime wire is a multitude of sins, good for certain tracks in isolation, bad for a career in habitual downloads. nowt wrong with bitlord IMO though everyone i know tries to tell me the next big thing, all of which aren't as consistant for me.
i would say, go to itunes choose the song or two you want, source an album from said artist and download that badboy. another tactic is to google say the artist (Removed) (arctic monkeys (Removed)) or the track (brianstorm (Removed)). you've got your arse covered both ways then. limewire should be a last resort in my opinion. if you need any of this clarifying let me know, i can be diconsertingly vague at the best of times.

Music Chat, by arcam on Dec 17, 2008 22:33:40 GMT 1, It's so good to have Metallica back. If you're a fan you'll know what I mean. It's been a few weeks since I listened to Death Magnetic and I forget how good an album it is.
