Banksy - New Orleans - Hurricane Katrina, by hitme on Aug 28, 2008 18:30:08 GMT 1, okay, so i'm just going to throw it out there......the others before the "no loitering" definitely cry out Banksy, Banksy, Banksy....and they are stunning at that!
however, something about the "no loitering" mural strikes me into thinking "could it be somebody other than Banksy?"....my first thought was Chris Stain......maybe it is the inclusion of an African American into the mural....somebody correct me if I'm wrong as I can't remember every stencil Banksy has ever done....but has Banksy ever had an African American in his stencils before?......i think it is the man in his rocking chair on the porch, and all of his hardships in the open (maybe losing his home to the hurricane)......that has me thinking Chris Stain. anybody familiar with Stain's work knows that he documents the hardships of African Americans into his stencils...
anyway, i'm just brainstorming.....so don't get your panties all bunched up.

Banksy - New Orleans - Hurricane Katrina, by hitme on Aug 28, 2008 18:32:33 GMT 1, okay, on second look ;D....the sneakers on the main in the rocking chair sure do look similar to the shoes that Banksy's self-inflicted stabbing, hooded man from the Cans Festival had on.
but still...does anybody see the Chris Stain similarity?

Looks like Obama to me. ('no loitering'- reference to get on with the clean up as soon as he gets into power?)
All very clever images with just the right amount of subtle political comment to be Bansky work. Love them all!

Pretty sure that's George Bush - the 'no loitering' being the subtle message - 'Piss off and don't be slow about it'.

Banksy - New Orleans - Hurricane Katrina, by Macdeee on Aug 28, 2008 23:35:08 GMT 1, I think Banksy needs a new photographer (Or a new digital camera!) Those pics on the BBC website are seriously pixelated... Banksy, you know where I am.
Amazing stuff.
I bet that rat doesnt last long or the turtle.
