Antony Micallef - Lazinc line, by arcam on Sept 19, 2007 13:51:14 GMT 1, To honest whilst I am surprised POW released the prints today, and can understand some folks being pissed off. I actually think it was a good move by POW as it allowed those of us who were unable to go to Laz the opportunity to pick up a print. They've tried to spread the joy.

I'd agree. You can never keep everyone happy and I'm sure if I hadn't got a POW print then I wouldn't be agreeing. You can blame laz and pow and ok, in some aspects there are just criticisms (i.e. allowing people to see pow's print as well as laz's so they could have made a choice). But the worst culprets are the flippers. I'm not pretending people don't sell things on. It happens, but for people who have no intention to keep these art, no even interested in street art, to just mosey up to the queue and then flip them right off... that's what sucks most for me. That's where my real gripe is.

Antony Micallef - Lazinc line, by pw on Sept 19, 2007 14:05:41 GMT 1, theres going to be plenty of opportunity to get cheap micallef prints. given the number of prints released today i reckon these prints will be available on ebay for a very modest mark up on the original price. it may well force down the prices of the older prints also. although on the other hand it may make the smaller editions even more sought after.

POW aren't exactly known for doing the obvious thing.

Antony Micallef - Lazinc line, by Deleted on Sept 19, 2007 14:29:01 GMT 1, I presume u 2 are at Laz's then? I wasn't at Laz actually, save for a few minutes at 8am this morning to say hello to a couple of people in the queue. I actually think it is really s**tty that POW have released this print at the same point as many of Micallef's biggest fans have been queueing in miscomfort for many hours for one of the Laz prints. That shows a lack of care for fans. Although I wasn't queueing if I had been and had got back to find the Mic had been released I would be very very pissed off indeed.
i wasnt at laz either and i also agree again with pezlow on this one, lots of people who are massive Micallef fans missed out on the quite frankly a much better(imo) pow print, i would feel gutted if i had missed out, after having waited all night long. still you cant please everyone.

I had thought about just getting a peace keeper but after seeing them in the flesh has very impressed. great detail, thick paper overall they look stunning and the small crappy pictures on the site don't do it any justice at all. That being said, i now feel a slight tinge of buyers remorse having bought so much nonetheless, the quality is impressive but i passed on the book.

Antony Micallef - Lazinc line, by stuey09 on Sept 19, 2007 15:13:22 GMT 1, I was on my way to work and i thought i would have a look at the queue. This queue actually make me feel quite sick. Talk about deranged robots. I just wish that people would do this kind of thing to make our world a better place, not just for personal gain. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. I tell you what im going to start up painting again and get out of this grown up version of collecting Football stickers.
Maybe its because I'm knackered from being up all night, but your post has annoyed me more than anyother that I've read on this forum, you sanctimonious p*ick. The queue made you feel sick! What sheltered fucking life have you been leading then? Why did it make you feel sick? And what gives you the right to call me or any other genuine fan in that line a deranged robot. Who the hell do you think you are? There were some genuine articles in that queue who made a lot of effort to travel down there (my journey was a 600mile round trip). Also spent some hard earned money in order to buy Peacekeeper, let alone the framing costs. So personal gain! Yes in the sense that I have a picture that I really like, but not financial, which is what you may be alluding to. And as for making the world a better place. Well that one is beyond me, but 4 months in Rwanda burying dead bodies, cleaning up and helping to vaccinate people isn't a bad start as well going out to Central America and mucking in with some local construction projects isn't a bad effort too.
Glad you're going to start painting again. It will give you time to reflect on your assertions and pettyminded thoughts prior to typing them up.
There, thats much better than pressing the minus button.
Now I'm off to sleep.
