Just because I come from and excel, stat driven background from previous jobs (i think some also call it SAD  ) That 500 quider was an unnumbered one i think so was likely to be a ack door print and worth less. £500 less by the looks of things. Retro All in good time retro, how the hell do you have all that infomation! and thats definatly info on just the unsigned ones yeah? I looked on the completed listings last week and one just went for 500 and summit quid this right!!!?

This is a conference in Australia in 2003. Did (banksy?) guys have a their sh!t together to number all of their prints? Especially if they were sending them out to other places?
I'm trying to do the research on it.
I'm less interested in 'flipping it for profit'.. but if I do sell it in a few years -- I dont want to *lose* money. I'm not a scalper. Just that 300 pound is a lot of money.
I imagine for 300 pound I can find numbered banksy prints (?)

if it's not numberred then it's not worth anything close to markert price, maybe 200 quid maximum. There are a few ways these have arrived on the open market, a) Backdoor prints from the old printers who knocked up a few extra outside of the edition to flog on b) "gifts" for services renderred (these would usually be signed though) c) Samples for secondary sellers (used as window dressing or as sales samples etc).
Non of the above are part of the official edition, and unless signed, are not taken seriously by collectors etc.

Imagine how it is going to be when you go to resell it and you weren't the original owner. The best thing you can do for yourself is TONS of homework regarding the origin of it and see if it is not numbered for a reason.
Even if you don't resell it, every day you look at it you'll be that much more confident that it is real and be able to enjoy it that much more.
And didn't it go for quite a bit over 300 pounds?

Reluctantly selling this genuine Banksy print due to moving house. As this is an early print there is no Pictures On Walls stamp but it is genuine. It’s numbered 184 out of 500. Perfect condition as it was bought framed and I’m selling it as such. Print dimensions are 50 x 70cm. I bought this from Tom Tom shop in London just over three years ago. If you are in doubt over the authenticity, feel free to contact POW who should be able to confirm that this number was issued to Tom Tom. This print is available collection only, you might even get a cup of tea as well.
