Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by lesroy on Jan 26, 2007 22:00:58 GMT 1, that piece is called:
"People Di Everyday"
There is a picture of the proper original on this forum... one of my favourite pieces (not the ebay one).

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by lesroy on May 20, 2007 18:53:03 GMT 1, Anything less than £1300 is a real bargain for this print! Numusic sold his for £2000 earlier this year but id say £1300-£1500 is about right.
Ive never even seen a Signed & Numbered one for sale although a mate has a Signed one with no number as a gift! Very rare.
There are only 500 in the entire edition (400 unsigned and 100 signed). Its a gorgeous RED in real life and is "proper" Banksy in style!

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by tomhills1 on May 24, 2007 19:53:56 GMT 1, £1143 and now £1200 the last two have gone for. the most i've seen one sell for this year is £1350 but the buyer didn't complete. i then managed to negotiate a sale between him and a member of this forum, not sure how much for. just wish i could have stepped in for myself

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Michael Jacob on Jul 12, 2007 14:18:50 GMT 1, Hello! Ive been bidding on this print and it ends in about 3 hours. The ebay number is 250140464171. I asked him about the condition, and here is what he wrote back:
the 'pale marks' were made by blu tack fixing the print to my office wall for a couple of weeks before framing it, as I said they can't be seen from the front. There are no marks on the front , bar very slight scatching in the black sections that was a feature of all prints I bought , HMV, Gulf War etc, due to the type of material used. There is no provenance as I said in the original listing as these original series had no embossing or stamps as later prints did.
What do you think? Any chance the blu tack might bleed through at a later date? What about the "very slight sractching" on the front? Is this common. The price is currently 1420 pounds, which I think is in line for a mint one. Any thoughts are appreciated. THANKS!!!!!

The oil in the blu-tac will cause permenant damage without even considering the scratches!
Personally I wouldn't pay £500 let alone £1500!

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by gtorphins on Jul 12, 2007 14:43:22 GMT 1, Read his reply and cringed when he said Blu-Tak
Not sure if it's quite as oily as it used to be but can remember old posters having marks coming through from the back. Obviously print paper is a lot thicker and hopefully he didn't have it stuck up for that long??
That's reasonably cheap IMO for a LIITA print and if you get it and are unhappy with the marks you could always push for a refund if they're worse than described?
George **EDIT** Just read the scratches bit. Swerve/wide berth time I think.

Yeah, thats pretty common with early prints it comes from POW not using any paper to protect the print surface when its rolled up in the tube

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by teatwosugars on Jul 12, 2007 14:50:42 GMT 1, If you're already having doubts now then you'll regret it even more when you spend the money.
I completely agree with jonpud- wouldn't touch it.
The condition is a huge issue, but what worries me even more is the lack of provenance. Fair enough, I wouldn't expect the stamp on this print, but for this sort of money I think it is essential to have some evidence, e.g. receipt or e-mail etc.
However, in the words of Graham from Blind Date- "The choice is yours." Good luck with whatever you decide ;D

this is a good point. scratching on the black part of prints is a very common problem especially with prints like Monkey Queen which are largely black. Its hard to find a totally unmarked example.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by jonpud on Jul 12, 2007 15:29:14 GMT 1, Thing is crazyjake, how much do you want it? This art shouldn't be about money, its a £75 print when all said and done! Problem is you can't avoid the fact that you are gonna have to shell out £1700(ish) of your hard earned to own it!
If you just want the image on your wall then there are plenty of 'Triute' pieces out there for a fraction of the cost. If you want a Banksy on your wall and you want to know in your heart that you are lucky enough to own something that a lot of people aren't in the position to own then don't buy this print. I can guarentee that the damage and lack of provenance will cast a shadow over your pleasure of owning it!
Wait and buy a mint copy with solid prov! Few hundred more but so worth the extra cash!
Here endeth the lesson!
Good luck!!

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by bond on Jul 12, 2007 15:50:03 GMT 1, hi all
This auction is actually little Bond ! ie my younger brother .
Some of you may have seen my posts before where i mention him speaking about Banksy for yrs before i finally opened my ears and eyes and got the bug !
Anyway , he has lived in Bristol for about 7 yrs or so now and definitely got this from Green Leaf but like most people who bought in the early days he did'nt keep the receipt .
For what it's worth I would like to emphasise that my brother is the most honest moral bloke i know and would never intentionally con anyone . In fact his honesty sickens me sometimes !!
I appreciate that the price is already high and of course the winner will want value for money but if it was stained and ruined he really would own up to the fact.
Thanks and good luck if you are bidding .

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by jam on Jul 12, 2007 16:00:52 GMT 1, I think it is more than reasonable in price, considering the huge leap everything has taken across the board. I would expect a mint with paperwork LIITA would be worth around 2,200, so this one seems fair to me.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by jonpud on Jul 12, 2007 16:12:57 GMT 1, There has been no question over the honesty or integrity of the seller, it would appear that he has been totally honest by letting crazyjake know the condition of the print. All that has been offered is opinions from the forum about buying a print in the condition stated.
I think we all know that condition is so important and so will have an impact on the price, me personally would not be happy knowing there was damage regardless of the reduced cost. Others will see it differently, ie a chance to own a rare piece of artwork for less than the current rate, everything has its price and this will no doubt be the right price for whoever buys it.
Anyway good luck to both seller and buyer!
