Whats the favorite work of art you own?, by saint on Jan 29, 2011 11:44:40 GMT 1, having giving this thread and my collection some thought... - i would probably have to go with my elbow toe "brother can you spare a dime?" just because it was such a labor of love.... - when the wife gave me the ok to buy it (after a few drinks at opening night) i immediately felt sick... -since i was buying a piece that would not fit in my home... its 10+ feet tall, almost 7 feet wide, and 300 pounds. i remember i was shaking my head all the way home... - thinking... " can i put it outside somewhere?" lol ! - when i went to pick it up a month later, i really started kicking myself.... -it took two full grown men to load each piece into my van.... I had to leave it in the van until i could get a buddie to come over and help me unload it. -so it went in my office for 6 months laying up against the wall in 3 pieces. -everytime i walked by it... i shook my head.... finally, i got imy act together and built my daughter "the playhouse" i had promised her for the past 3 years.... - i made sure one wall had no windows and was at least 10 and a half feet tall and 10 feet wide.... ! -everyone really enjoys it, and the story behind it, when they come over... my daughter on Brian's back opening night (pictures where on the net before we even got home... lol ) recreating the piece ! playhouse coming together: finally in and up! - it took a good half a day to hang the thing i might add.... lol...
My favourite post ever, beautiful piece of art, great story, amazing commitment, and i would think one very happy daughter and one very happy father. Great stuff man, massive kudos to ya. I bet that gives you a huge smile everytime you go in there (cos lets face it its bound to have become your playhouse rather than your daughters!)...

Beautiful Alsoudani - he's not an artist you see mentioned often on this forum. I'd give my eye teeth for a piece by him. You're a lucky man jamessmith!

That's classy Mace. Thought you might like to see this pic I took of the same image, in London. I was lucky to see this, because whilst on the street, it's now behind shutters.
One of Shep's best images, if not the best, imo.

Cheers. ;D
Print size is 22cm x 84cm.
He can alter some selected prints to personalise them if you want. Adding street names, shop fronts for example. Always thought that was a good idea.
Heres his website if anyone is interested.....

I do think that he (Wittfooth) is a massive talent though, here are two recent pieces he created.

God al' Mighty. What is this and why is it on your wall?

I like that, it is really good (I would say nice but that doesn't seem appropriate). It looks like a ROA but not quite what I expect from ROA, who's work is it?

Whats the favorite work of art you own?, by Deleted on Mar 16, 2011 8:54:51 GMT 1, When I started this thread I said my favorite may change from SPQRs 5th man canvas to my family portrait. Well i love them both, but i can't really let the family portrait miss the thread. I know I've put it on other threads, but here it is again.
