removing the ebay section compleatly and sticking it in the urbanart auctions site, then if u want to talk about art, we have here, and for selling there is a separate site

A lot of people would start off by looking at the ebay section as it often pops up in the google search results and then leads onto other parts of the forum when you have got past that first page.

a funny guy who had great knowledge of art, wasnt afraid to say it how it is. would be great to see him back on board.

the problem as I see it is, Silky started the Good Thread Guide - people still dont follow it - you have people now punting their pieces for sale in the wrong sections - I would suggest that when new members sign up - that they are directed to this Guide

right my ideas :
1. ebay section removed to another 1 of silky's urbnart sites
2. a few more people with modarator powers because silky cant be here all the time
3. lose some of the sections that arnt used, or at least stick them in a subboard ie: galleries
4. make an 'argument' subboard - if a thread turns nasty then its moved to the 'arguments' section so if people want to argue or read other people argue, they can, away from members that do not

I still get a lot from this site - without it there are so many artists that I wouldn't have ever heard of.
I do however miss a lot of the old guys, most of all Stuey.
I must say that I think Graeme's ideas are superb, tho' I would miss there being a way of buying things of forum members - I have bought some real crackers from this site -- if it wasn't for that part of the board, I wouldn't have my beautiful Alana Richards canvass.

And fifty 'bumps. They should be moved to a single thread. And persistent offenders should be sent to the naughty step (JBOY!)

Yeah but, and don't get me wrong, I'm really just thinking out loud - I didn't know I wanted that Richards canvass untill I saw it, and thought, my god, that's beautiful.
And also, I have sold 3 prints in all the time I have been a member of this forum, all at the same time, so that I could buy a Dale Grimshaw canvass that I had fallen in love with. I did prefer selling them (cheaply) to a forum member, than putting them on ebay.
