Tate Modern ๐ฌ๐ง London, by Deleted on Sept 1, 2017 10:16:51 GMT 1, I was there a few weeks back and the only street art on display was in the book shop
They have room to spare and some of the art on show was very bizarre and i did not undertsand some of the instillations but maybe thats just me. Some of the stuff on current display could easliy be put in storage (or thrown away IMO) and then used to promote Street and Urban art which would be attended by the masses.
Dont understand it myself

Tate Modern ๐ฌ๐ง London, by Eastend Boy 13 on Sept 13, 2017 11:25:04 GMT 1, shop.tate.org.uk/untitled-tiles-2005-2017/invt/ed1014&bklist=icat,3,shop,limitededitions
Rachel Whiteread Untitled (Tiles), 2005, 2017 Medium: Lithographic print with screen printed spot varnish on 300gsm Somerset Satin Dimensions: 42 x 27.9 cm Edition of 100 Each work is signed and numbered Sold framed (Pictured unframed)
Price: ยฃ1,200 Memberโs price: ยฃ1,080
The limited edition, Untitled (Tiles), 2005 , 2017, was produced by Rachel Whiteread in support of Tate and on the occasion of the exhibition, Rachel Whiteread, 12 September 2017 โ 21 January 2018, Tate Britain.
Although Whiteread is renowned for her evocative large-scale sculptures and castings, drawing has always remained one of her core activities. Her work on paper shares many of the themes familiar from her public commissions: texture and surface; void and presence; absence and memory.
For three decades, Rachel Whiteread (b. 1963) has created spare, resonant sculptures, cast from the spaces in and around familiar objects and structures, offering new perspectives from which to consider the human imprint on our everyday environment. Whiteread has charted new territory for sculpture, focusing critical attention on post-1960s form within a framework of the personal and encouraging pause for contemplation of our collective and individual histories. Known for her consistent use of the technique of casting, employing a carefully selected repertoire of materials, she is an artist whose practice is nevertheless expansive and often surprising.
