I think, for me, the bottom line is I don't have to respect someone as an artist to enjoy their work. Would I spend that kinda loot on an OG MBW. Of course not. But I don't have that kinda money so it's really a moot point.
Anyway, anyone want my banksy's? Didn't realise he didn't event stencilling.

Appreciate he comes in for stick, but came across as a really nice guy: just seemed very happy to be putting on the exhibition - was talking about wanting a much bigger one next year in London etc. Not generally a big fan and some of the pieces are ok - quite a few seem to feature the Kate moss image, and all are big and bold.

yes, it sometimes baffles me how Thierry and Kaws don't get their arses sued by Disney, Nickolodeon or DC Comics... but DFace does superheroes too, as does Lister.
in my personal opinon, anyone can make art and it's valid, the onus is on the viewers to like it or not...?
But as a very good friend of mine says to me often -
"It's not a f**king popularity contest!"
So more power to the French nutter.
