ยฃยฃยฃ Edition - Cost of Freedom Butterflies, by RoboJ on May 25, 2016 0:35:18 GMT 1, Hi RoboJ, Very nice work! What size is the frame and can you choose black or white?
Thank you very much! The butterfly using a single dollar I can do either a black or white 200mm box frame. For the butterfly with 2 dollar bills I am using a white 300mm frame. I hope this helps. If you prefer something else I can have a look into it for you?

Anyone else getting bored by urban art?, by RoboJ on May 23, 2016 20:13:08 GMT 1, The one thing that bugs me is regenerated images. How many times have I seen the Monroe picture, the exact same one churned out with some different photoshop element. The original is amazing because it was a concept well ahead of its time but the clones... The only other thing is prints. Other than getting a specific Banksy I'd like (because the ogs are well out of reach) they sort of feel soul less. I did one Giclee print run of my Liberty Too Far and it felt terrible, effortless and meaningless so I won't be doing them again. I love creating and just seeing what happens. I know many of my pieces may not interest people at all. There have been a lots of concepts I tried, looked back on and though what the hell was I thinking. But it's the playing with new ideas that's the fun bit. Making ogs and putting part of yourself into the work so every piece is important, even if nobody else thinks so haha Yeah, inkjets tend to be that way
Unless I'm making the screen prints myself, on my own equipment, I feel just ordering prints from a company would be no different to ordering giclees. How do other artists feel about it?

Austria Polls, by RoboJ on May 22, 2016 22:34:38 GMT 1, I just got home to see the news that Austria looks likely to have voted in a far right PM. Anybody else feeling pretty concerned by this and the potential impact it may have around Europe. The news report contained a load of middle aged white people saying they were fed up of immigrants. That they think they should just look after their own people.

Banksy Laugh Now Print, by RoboJ on May 21, 2016 21:44:37 GMT 1, Literally anybody could have drawn this.... There's no technique. An artist worth any salt creating sketches would have made a better job. Even when jotting rough ideas, things look a similar shape to how they should be. Standard things like the basic shape of a head...

New Os Gรชmeos print, by RoboJ on May 18, 2016 21:05:09 GMT 1, I am not an artist, but I do connect with the artists I'm drawn to wherever possible and I would never dream of taking their hard work for free.ย That's fine if you don't assign a monetary value to your work, but to me, that is the difference between a professional and an amateur. ย Look at my artwork Im far from and amateur and just as good if not better than any print from any artist you may have on your wall im just saying. and became a professional when i sold my first piece. the difference between me and a lot of these other artist is Im not motivated by money nor is my work.
Oh nice to see a humble artist. Lol. I'm not knocking you. If your a professional artist, making your artwork a financial success is pretty fundamental. Have to think about paying the mortgage some how.

Commission , by RoboJ on May 16, 2016 22:18:07 GMT 1, Not necessarily. If you wanted a new image commissioned by an artist you could negotiate having the image exclusively, especially if you have asked for something particular or unique. I am sure it would raise the cost of having the piece made however I am sure most artists, including myself, are happy to talk about what's possible. Just ask!

Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by RoboJ on May 9, 2016 22:01:30 GMT 1, Today was not the ideal weather for putting up my Cost of Freedom butterflies, absolutely tipped it down as soon as I started which was perfect haha. Lots of amazing new work down in London, love walking around brick lane. Here is my little addition in the car park on Brick Lane. It's not as tidy as I wanted as it was soaking wet but I hope you like it and the meaning. http://instagr.am/p/BFMljf2qvEH instagram.com/p/BFMljf2qvEH/instagram.com/p/BFMljf2qvEH/I hope you don't mind some genuine feedback. I think the idea is great. A framed piece and the 3D butterflies that eminate from it work really well. The butterflies themselves look fabulous. And I like the idea that they are made from dollars. The one thing I don't like though, and I've seen it before from other artists, is the inclusion of a web address. For me it risks turning what should be street art in to a commercial concept. I appreciate that you will be wanting to raise your profile (though that can be done with a tag, without the website address), and that artists need to make a living. I hope that you will receive this in the constructive way that it's intended. Other than that one thing, lovely work.
Absolutely, thanks Coach. Your right, as soon as I put it on I didn't think it looked right. Trying to raise my profile but thats definitely a mistake. Really appreciate your feedback.
