Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by jusdeep on Feb 17, 2015 9:28:51 GMT 1, I honestly hope that Dran just goes in on the last day with a paint extinguisher and whitewalls the entire place aside from the pieces on cardboard. The market will live. I with you on this. Or if everyone and their dog, trying to nab something turns up on the last day and the whole place is deserted

Dran flyer #2, by jusdeep on Feb 7, 2015 0:05:44 GMT 1, They were gone pretty quick but only photocopies. People were taking bunches of them or using to write bids on the original.

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by jusdeep on Feb 6, 2015 18:50:07 GMT 1, would be interesting if POW ended up cutting out all the different panels and sold them that way. Possibly in preparation for a remodel of POW? either way I love the concept for this show! Not sure if the shop owner would appreciate POW remodelling his place. It looked as if the room was boarded out for the event, although I doubt they would get the jigsaw out. Expecting canvas' but after last night they could be painted with cheese straws and incorporate pasta shapes and pot noodle

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by jusdeep on Feb 6, 2015 9:22:55 GMT 1, I don't think many were there to make a quick buck at all, obviously that was on a few peoples minds. But ultimately there was nothing promised and nothing delivered. No idea about the lone canvas raffle but could be highest bid, most comical or just randomly pulled out tombola style. Personally I had a fun night catching up with friends and forumites, eating cheese and speculating. There were a few miffed people moaning but mostly a fun night was had. It's a novel idea for a show a look forward to seeing how it develops over the next few weeks.

Gonzalo Borondo 🇪🇦 Spanish Glass Artist • Street Art, by jusdeep on Feb 1, 2015 13:27:56 GMT 1, I'm very much looking forward to the show and what is on offer. I really hope he spends as much time and effort on the work as the gallery seems to have been spent on advertising and promoting the show. And also that what I have seen so far is not a reflection on the main body of work. Rex certainly seems to be pulling out every trick in the book to draw in the crowds. I just hope that all the anticipation and media hype they are creating doesn't turn out and bite the artist. It's a big gallery to show in and on past experience of shows there apart from a few exceptions, in my eyes they haven't used the space well or made much of an experience. I like his work but subject is always been an issue for me with Borondo and I'm not sure I would want the majority on my wall. There's no question he has talent and is one to watch but this kind of media circus on a grand scale seems a little ott in my eyes. I'm really not sure where a young artist, new to most people and potential buyers goes from here. I think even a well established artist would be quaking at the high expectations being made of them.

Obey - info on forthcoming work, by jusdeep on Jan 27, 2015 23:59:53 GMT 1, Would have liked the gold, but got dumped after making the Paypal payment, which is weird. Was thinking of getting something by Cleon when the print was announced and quite liked the collab. Won't be trying again and still never managed to score a print online.

Question about hanging a piece of art., by jusdeep on Jan 24, 2015 23:27:38 GMT 1, Obviously depends on the piece and it's weight but if tray framing, (even with a very small frame) isn't what you're looking for. Maybe using a split batten at the back would be an option. Like this:
Or possibly have a perspex box built to keep the artwork safe and clean.

Eine valentines print release, by jusdeep on Jan 22, 2015 18:27:15 GMT 1, Not sure whether this has been mentioned or not. I have been told that Eine will be releasing a valentines day print with Moniker, similar to the one's he did for the car boot fair. Three different colourways each with the single letter 'x' so the set would read 'xxx' That's all I know I'm afraid so can't say what the release date will be or cost etc... Apologies for the lack of info but I thought I'd post it anyway. If I hear any more I'll update accordingly urbanartassociation.com/thread/125280/moniker-presents-triple-group-show?page=1&scrollTo=1324105

London Art Fair tickets, by jusdeep on Jan 21, 2015 20:41:01 GMT 1, There were some good French galleries showing this year bringing some different artists to the show. Edgar Modern had some interesting outsider artists, but the majority of stands were the same as always. Same artists, a few with the same work, nothing inspiring or different that took my eye. Got bored very quickly and far too many people at the preview evening to make it a pleasurable night, so shot off early.

Cheerio, by jusdeep on Jan 14, 2015 11:07:05 GMT 1, Crazy, people taking offence to dumb comments. Shame a couple have left this morning, but they'll be back or viewing from afar. Anyone who's been on here for any period of time should: a) know what motivates most of it's users, b) learn to take the rough with the smooth or c) just ignore and don't get involved, far too easy to get hooked and bite back. Life's too short to take offence from the likes of keyboard crusaders and genral trolls on here.

Banksy vlh, by jusdeep on Jan 14, 2015 9:42:41 GMT 1, Clueless by name, clueless by nature. No hype here at all. If you followed prices and what's going on in the real world then maybe you'd have a voice worth listening to. I personally think you'd be extremely lucky to find one for 7k, but that's just my 2p, although own one so am bias This would be a fair price for both parties if someone let it go for that - these will be double figures soon and probably would have been a long time ago if Tesco wasn't a UK brand with no appeal to International collectors. It's a really nicely printed and compact sized Banksy with nicely represented overspray and a low edition too.

Richard Hamilton : , by jusdeep on Jan 14, 2015 9:27:41 GMT 1, I remember this also, although never engaged with the print. Always loved the original and remember seeing it at a massive Pop art retrospective at, possibly Tate Britain or RA, late 80's/early 90's and being a little disappointed of how small it was. Looks like there's a retrospective coming up at Tate Modern soon also: www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/exhibition/richard-hamilton

WTT Bast Crazy Mickey ed.6 & BANKSY LP Covers Kate & Radar R, by jusdeep on Jan 12, 2015 12:18:51 GMT 1, Brown cover Radar Rat around £20-30, the other as it is the lower priced Kate with the writing over the eyes, (not the rarer full image) probably £10-15. You'd get more on Ebay starting them low, but depends on if you want the hassle.

Mr Brainwash - a **** or genius, by jusdeep on Jan 11, 2015 13:50:30 GMT 1, To be fair he got rich way before he got involved with art and even without the art he would be doing very well. The guy has his head screwed on when it comes to business, marketing and making money, it's the people who have bought into him that are the $&@%'s.

Headphone problem , by jusdeep on Jan 10, 2015 15:13:18 GMT 1, Unfortunately the earbuds are fixed on this model, (later models have removable cables) and by looking at the quick fix videos online it looks a bit more tricky soldering than my basic capability. No question about throwing them away, these cost more than most people spend on a hi-fi system.

Headphone problem , by jusdeep on Jan 10, 2015 14:01:48 GMT 1, Hi, very off topic but does anyone have any experience of getting their headphone cables mended or rewired to a higher specification in the UK? I have a pair of Shure SE530 PTH's that cost a pretty penny, (are out or warranty) and I'd rather not ditch them if it is a simple solve.
As far as I can guess it's probably a simple re-solder of a faulty connection. One ear started losing volume and went dead within a few hours, before that no distortion or other signs and they have always been kept safe in their box when not in use.
The main problem with these are they are fixed at the earbud and would have to be carefully unpieced and while that's being done could be upgraded. I've bought a pair of SoundMAGIC E10S's in the meantime but seems a waste to just bin these.
Thanks, any help or advice appreciated J'deep

FS: BAST - Old Spice - 2008 SOLD, by jusdeep on Jan 9, 2015 15:38:28 GMT 1, Still one of my favourite Bast pieces and one that takes centre stage in my living room. This one looks slightly more playful than most and seems to incorporate more colours and splats. Huge print that looks great framed and is pretty much an original as it has probably the most hand finishing of any print out there. Good luck with the sale.
