WTB First Banksy unsigned , by mouser on Jan 9, 2012 19:22:21 GMT 1, Older unsigned small editions such as soup cans, plackard rats or an unsigned B&W trolley are smaller editions than alot of the newer signed only editions, and IMO classic banksy, especially the rats and trolleys, iconic banksy images in small runs for unsigned prices, whats not to love? good luck, and take your time. aim for the pre-LA unsigned and you should be able to snag a lovely unsigned for a decent price about your budget and have a classic banksy image that you'd be proud to hang without feeling you'd been bummed in the process.

WHAT 'LIES' BENEATH - GUTTED!! , by mouser on Jan 9, 2012 9:55:02 GMT 1, Shocking, very sorry to see what has happened, hope it gets sorted and as others have said, name and shame before other pieces are ruined. Its up to the framers to ensure folk know they are up to scratch, no point in you protecting them now the damage is done.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by mouser on Jan 8, 2012 22:17:35 GMT 1, A signed classic, beautiful buy there silvermyne, seen a few in black ornate frames, they really set off a QV ( I'm biased though as mine is framed like that) but prefer it to my older plain framed option.
Lucky fella either way

WTB Parla St. Giles (SORTED), by mouser on Jan 6, 2012 22:25:34 GMT 1, I've got World Touring Letter on the lounge wall, absolutely bloody lovely Got 184th st and st giles on my walls, would love a WTL, you seldom see any of these prints coming up, 184th is more common due to its probibative size for framing.
Any pics craig?

For Sale/ FT - Faile Mirror Mirror on keyfoods, by mouser on Jan 5, 2012 16:32:57 GMT 1, wow another great old school Faile hits the market
Cheers Maadbeats, a classic indeed, some interest, but less inclined for swaps (unless its unsigned banksy) and looking for cash.
All PMs replied to now.

Banksy Grin Reaper Print, by mouser on Jan 4, 2012 22:57:19 GMT 1, The red highlighting to the robe certainly adds a great extra dimension to what is probably ( IMO) Banksy's finest print.

Lack of satisfaction from landing a first banksy, by mouser on Jan 3, 2012 10:12:19 GMT 1, 1 if you dont like it DONT BUY IT !!!!! 2 SELL IT and buy something you do like !!! its no good keeping it if its givin you no satisfaction 3 get yourself a copy of the ROLLING STONES classic single I CANT GET NO SATISFACTION !!!
What he said, there is no magic dust associated with a Banksy print, its not dipped in LSD.... its a picture on a piece of paper, its about buying apiece of art / image that resonates with you, I'm not a big fan of any of the newer Banksy prints, and feel nothing really for them, so know not to spunk cash on something I'd not appreciate.

POW's sofa, by mouser on Jan 2, 2012 18:52:41 GMT 1, hardly, the prints appeared several months after they were thought to have sold out, cleared out remaining stock from cancelled orders etc.... not quite the same as being held back and drip fed etc.
A couple of Invaders, micallefs GIWTBB, D-face queens and some other bits n pieces from memory. The dface DSTQs hung about for a couple of days.

Faile Love Remix On Keyfoods FS New Pics & Price, by mouser on Jan 2, 2012 15:36:09 GMT 1, Timba, the keyfood prints were done on supermarket "key food" posters, all of them have been folded, as the original posters were folded before the pieces were printed. Most of them have small tears, pinholes and ragged edges etc from previous poster use prior to being printed. They are rough prints with a shed load of hand finishing, but classic Faile.

price check Faile Romance in brown, by mouser on Jan 2, 2012 10:57:47 GMT 1, rough price anyone? I seem to remember 1 being sold on here for about £800 or £900 at some point in 2011.....is this right? If it was, its a fantastic price, guessing 2-3 times that price is closer to ball park figures, £2K would be a rough guess for the moment, but faile prices are all over the place.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by mouser on Dec 27, 2011 21:06:12 GMT 1, It really does make you question the worth of the squiggle and what it signifies, considering the colour signed version is 50% bigger than the unsigned, not to mention the multitude of other signed.... its not the old explanation of the rarer signed version etc...

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by mouser on Dec 23, 2011 12:33:47 GMT 1, This forum seems to be a posh club of millionaires
... or folk who have been collecting for the best part of 10 years, lucky enough to remember when you had months to consider a £50 print before it sold out or cost a fortune.
No longer the case.
