The Best Film Ever, by Feral Things on Apr 27, 2014 22:52:15 GMT 1, Anyone else watching Fargo on channel 4? It's utterly brilliant. Is it as good as the film? I went to the town of Fargo when I spent some time in the States. Just the friendliest, most welcoming people plus they're got an incredible art-deco cinema complete with a working Wurlitzer which is played before each showing and a wood-chip statute of Marge from the film.

NOW WITH IMAGES! eel - 'Indifference' screen print for sale, by Feral Things on Apr 27, 2014 18:39:41 GMT 1, Yea don't seem to be working. Does anyone know how to attach an image from iphoto in a thread rather than using a web address? Does seem to give you the option. Thanks. You need to either upload the image to a photo site like Photobucket or insert the .jpg file if the image is already hosted online.
I can't locate the larger .jpg file on your site, so this is the best I can do for you:

Dale Marshall 🇬🇧 Vermin • New Paintings • Exhibition News, by Feral Things on Apr 27, 2014 10:52:13 GMT 1, Good to see Cov and the Herbert doing some good stuff. They seem to have a nice edge to their shows recently Have you seen the show Coach? I was lucky enough to see the show with Coach back in February and we both loved it. Highly recommended from me, at least.
There's a great new painting on Dale's website which, according to the Facebook page is the 'First finished piece since Walls with Wounds', and which I presume will be in his show at Soze Gallery in LA later in the year:

Yep, the show is free and it's on until September; but if you're a Bowie fan then you might not appreciate the steelpan-rendition of Man Who Sold The World which is playing in the first installation in the show

Bristol Shows, by Feral Things on Apr 27, 2014 10:35:28 GMT 1, "I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed" Bowie "Man who sold the world" Yep, that's the one. One room juxtaposes photos of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust tour with photos of riots and civil rights demonstration in Derry/Londonderry, which were happening simultaneously.

Bristol Shows, by Feral Things on Apr 27, 2014 10:20:50 GMT 1, Loverly venue (no snub intended) Yeah, it's the last remaining of five churches which were built in the city walls in the 14th century. The church was last used for worship about three decades ago and the building is rarely ever open, so it was lovely to be able to see inside. The exhibition was great too.
Here's some photos from Turner Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller's 'English Magic' installation/curatorial exhibition at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. Deller represented the UK at the 2013 Venice Biennale with this exhibition and the text under neither some of the painting is definitely worth reading, so I'll typed in up below.
"Sir Henry Synnot KCMG (1945-2011). Governor of Basra 2003-04. Sent to Iraq with half a page of instructions and a brief to 'play it by ear'. By Chris, HMP Everthorpe"
"'A Good Day for Cyclists'. On 24 October 2007, a wildlife officer and two members of the public observed a pair of protected hen harriers being shot out of the sky as they flew over the Sandringham Estate. The only people known to be shooting that day were Prince Harry and his friend, Willian van Cutsen. The police investigated the incident and questioned the prince, his friend and a Sandringham gamekeeper, but the case was later dropped as the carcases of the birds could not be found. The painting seen here depicts a giant hen harrier taking revenge on a passing Range Rover. Painted by Sarah Tynan."
"'We Sit Starting Amongst Our Gold'. In June 2011 Roman Abramnovich's 377-foot yaght Luna, moored alongside the Giardini quay. It blocked the view for many and a security fence was erected around it, restricting use of the promenade for locals, tourists and visitors to the Biennale. This act enraged William Morris, the Victorian designer and socialist, who, though long dead, returned as a colossus and threw the yacht into the lagoon....Mural painted by Stuart Sam Hughes"
This last photo was taken standing in the giftshop of 'Exit Through The Giftshop' fame and while I was passing I took a photo of the now emasculated 'Modern Lovers':

The pieces in the show look incredible. So much variety and skill; very jealous of those who are going to see it in the flesh.

Burning Candy at Leeds College of Art, by Feral Things on Apr 24, 2014 22:50:14 GMT 1, Gold Peg, Mighty Mo, Rowdy and Horror/Tek33 have an exhibition, with associated shenanigans, at the Leeds College of Art running from 30 June to 11 July:
"Do the men and women behind Burning Candy make street art or graffiti? It probably doesn’t matter what box one might try to put them in; what matters is that this crew gets up indoors and outdoors, and that they have, in a few short years, transformed the international landscapes from London, Bristol, Barcelona, Turin, New York and Miami to name a few, with everything from tags and pieces to posters and massive commissioned murals. The members of Burning Candy, even the older ones, belong to a new generation of writers, a generation that values lettering as much as characters. They admire the great writers, like Blade, as much as the old masters of the fine arts, like Michelangelo. They also recognise that graffiti is advertising, and so they use logos in their work. Not only do the members of Burning Candy get up, but their logos also strengthen the recognition of their names inside and outside of the graffiti community. It seems as if almost everyone in London and Bristol knows Burning Candy even if they don’t know they know. Curated by James Jessop, Burning Candy 2014 is the first in a series of bi-annual curated shows at Leeds College of Art utilising the studio spaces in Vernon Street."

NY/NO @ Galleri GEO, Bergen Norway Updated with print rls, by Feral Things on Apr 24, 2014 21:33:41 GMT 1, Will you be marking the value low so no import duties? I would suggest that writing on a public forum that you'll commit tax fraud probably isn't a great idea.
