Your latest Art Purchase?, by Feral Things on Apr 8, 2014 18:20:25 GMT 1, You won't be surprised to hear that I absolutely love the Zepha piece, Gard. Fantastic work.
Where can I buy his work? There are also some smaller pieces available from Graffuturism/1Am's 'A Major Minority' show here and some other pieces here.

London shows and such?, by Feral Things on Apr 7, 2014 22:03:26 GMT 1, The National Gallery is my favourite spot in London but it sounds like you've already got this covered. If you like JMW Turner's work then I would definitely recommend Tate Britain and there's also a Turner exhibition on at the National Maritime Museum. The Courtauld Gallery is a real gem and definitely worth checking out.
White Cube have a great Darren Almond show on at the moment at their Bermondsey space and PACE have a beautiful show by Liang Yuanwei. Victoria Miro often have interesting and challenging shows too.

FS Frost Dot Dot Dot originals, by Feral Things on Apr 7, 2014 21:19:40 GMT 1, That's a great price on the Frost. I think after all these years on here everyone knows that you're 100% genuine and would fully understand the need to sell. Good luck with the sale; hope you get the piece which you've been after.

Stretching a canvas w/ artwork on it...advice needed, by Feral Things on Apr 6, 2014 15:31:35 GMT 1, If the canvas was stretched when C215 painted the piece and it was just removed from the stretcher bars for ease of shipping to the gallery then there shouldn't be any issues with having it restretched and I would have thought that this was necessary to display it as intended by the artist. If you haven't stretched a canvas before then I would either get your framer to take care of it (if they're good) or contact someone like Harris Moore.
If the canvas was not stretched when the piece was painted then I would be wary of stretching it now. Spraypaint is quite inelastic and brittle and the danger is that, if the canvas is stretched to a greater tension than when the paint was applied, you might end up with hairline cracks in the surface of the paint where it has been pulled apart by the underlying canvas.
Hope this helps and would love to see the piece if you pulls the trigger.

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by Feral Things on Apr 5, 2014 7:39:14 GMT 1, It's 101 years since Emily Davison threw herself under the King's horse at the Grand National and threads like this make me realise just how far there still is to go. Come on, surely we're better than this?

Dale Marshall ๐ฌ๐ง Vermin โข New Paintings โข Exhibition News, by Feral Things on Apr 3, 2014 21:30:06 GMT 1, Happy to help, @delloy! I've got a spare signed show card so if anyone who's written on any of the Walls With Wounds threads on here would like it, please drop me a PM. If you haven't made it to the show yet then it's still running for a few more weeks including, conveniently, over the Easter weekend.
EDIT: Showcard now gone, thanks.

Norwegian Artists, by Feral Things on Apr 1, 2014 22:12:13 GMT 1, Personally I think the Norwegian street art scene creatively stalled a bit a few years ago and there's been a lot of recycling of old ideas since but there's some great non-street art coming out of Norway...

Calligraphy Calligraffiti Art, by Feral Things on Mar 31, 2014 21:57:14 GMT 1, The Zoo Project which tries to reinserting people killed during the Jasmine Revolution back into the public consciousness so that they're not forgotten. The figure on the right is Mohamed Bouazizi, whose act of self-immolation in protest at the authority's confiscation of his goods was the catalyst for the Arab Spring: Tragically, the body of a young man shot in Detroit last July has been identified as that of Bilal Berreni AKA Zoo Project. Zoo Project was a brave and talented artist who was producing genuinely important work and my heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace.

Conor Harrington originals, by Feral Things on Mar 30, 2014 20:14:20 GMT 1, This was ยฃ60k plus VAT at Art14:
And this is currently up to $49k in the MTV Re:Define auction:
The Morning Glories (48x38cm) at the last Outsiders show were ยฃ3.3k plus VAT but that was a year about now and I would image that things have moved on a fair bit by now.

Spring Fling, by Feral Things on Mar 25, 2014 20:22:05 GMT 1, As part of the Spring Fling arts festival in Dumfries and Galloway there will be a series of large scale murals in rural locations by Amy Whiten, Will Barras, FiST and Fraser Gray, amongst others. Things kicked off this weekend and further details are available here.
"In an exciting new departure, Spring Fling has joined forces with Amy Whiten & Ali Wyllie from Glasgow based street art collective Recoat to produce Spring Fling | Rural Mural (#SFRM).
#SFRM will see a collective of local, national and international artists collaborate in painting large-scale murals across Dumfries and Galloway for Spring Fling 2014; adorning barns, gable ends, a tractor, petrol tanks, a grain silo, a horseโs rug and possible few more unexpected things too."
