Pics from Choe & Souled Out, by jam on Mar 10, 2008 21:54:12 GMT 1, Always that same dude at the front of the urban art q's. The dude with the army jacket on. He is everywhere.
You've noticed that too! Who is this guy anyway... whats his forum ID and ebay name?! Until we know, he is 'Camo Stig'.

Judith Supine @ Paper Monster..., by jam on Feb 26, 2008 5:31:11 GMT 1, Perhaps this should all be VIA PM fellas... no need to feed the leaches. Is this kind of attitude really needed? Does the term "leaches" relate to all newer members, all members outside some type of "inner-circle", just those you're not on first name terms with, or are you trying to take this forum "underground" TWIT!
It isn't so much a 'type of attitude' as being prudent about what information such as artists contact details are being posted on a public forum. There is likely a reason Judith Supine doesn't make his information readily available, and I would like to think that those details would be held in confidence by those that have came across them one way or another.
The term 'leaches' relates to parasites looking to catch the next big thing, suck up all the pieces at reasonable prices, then toss them all on ebay for a quick profit. It has nothing to do with not being a new/old member or being in an inner circle, although I would say calling someone a 'twit' without cause and out of in irrational paranoia outside any of these cliques will do nothing to gain favor with people in any group.

Paul Insect • Dunce Boy Print, by jam on Feb 25, 2008 15:46:22 GMT 1, Problem is on two fronts here. First, you need to take the in stock number with a grain of salt because people who own his work may be putting a bunch in their basket and hyping the 'nearly sold out' bit... then more pop up because they are never checked out and trickle back up for sale. Second, POW are aware the low numbers sell prints quicker and they have seemingly sold out in the past, only for another block of say 25 to come back up a few days later. The bottom line is, don't buy on profit speculation or because the prints nearly sold out... buy because you like the image!

Paul Insect - Heads Up, by jam on Feb 25, 2008 15:36:17 GMT 1, Given Insect will soon be POW's main commodity I would buy buy buy. Once Banksy leaves Laz Insect is going to be hyped to the max.
Thats probably the dumbest thing I have read on here in quite some time. WTF is with the 'buy buy buy' nonsense, who's to say Insect is going to be pushed any harder than he is at the moment, that his next show wont tank, and that his stuff is worth buying right now seeing how those prints sat around for ages without a whisper until someone pointed out there were only a few left. You must own a stack of Insects prints if your on here running at the mouth about how everyone should buy everything up quick.

Palestine Splashed Donkey has been resurected..., by jam on Feb 16, 2008 2:29:50 GMT 1, Through his associations with Artists and Art lovers over the years, Daniel has maintained a fundamental regard for the integrity of an individual artist’s philosophy and creative vision. He has had the pleasure of supporting and furthering the careers of many world-renowned artists, including Ron English, Swoon, Shawn Barber, Anthony Ausgang, Tom Everhart, Frank Sinatra, Al Hirschfeld, Norman Rockwell, Banksy, The Seventh Letter crew, and many others.
Point one: What exactly have you done to 'support and further the careers' of the artists you mention in the quote above? Above all, I am quite interested in knowing what you did to further someone like Norman Rockwell's carreer, seeing how he has been dead for nearly 30 years.
Point two: Do you care to comment on the glaring conflict in the statement about how you work to maintain "a fundamental regard for the integrity of an individual artist’s philosophy and creative vision"... yet you are on here trying to hawk a piece of street art by Banksy and he is on record as being adamantly against the sale of any pieces he paints in public areas.

obey obama prices?, by jam on Feb 28, 2008 18:14:23 GMT 1, There is no positive spirit to be found when Bush's name is mentioned. To think he has protected the US from an attack is off base to say the least. He has done nothing but to act as a catalyst for any future terrorism that is directed at the US by causing such disruption in the Mid East and drawing such a line between Muslims and other religions. Iraq is an area that will breed dissension and militant groups for years to come, and regardless of an immediate withdraw or one 50 years from now, they are destine to slip into a civil war and sort things out for themselves... so the epicenter will effectively have been based on Bush's policy and decisions. The ramifications for Bush's blunders will haunt the US and the world for decades to come.

any of you buy a hirst from an ebayer in irvine?, by jam on Feb 7, 2008 7:38:59 GMT 1, I have been actively looking to purchase Hirst prints for the past year or so and I have seen this guys auctions more than a few times. I emailed about them at one point and he knew what he was talking about, but the prices were just too low for the prints to be authentic. I had seen them listed with the same photos under different IDs and in different CA locations. I also understand there were a couple fakes pulled from a Sothebys NY sale that probably came from this fraudster. FYI, there are many fake Lambada on Gloss Fuji Hirst prints out there, eyestorm needs to inspect your print to make certain its authentic and I wouldn't buy one without having that inspection done yourself as emails and such are simple enough for unscrupulous people to photoshop.

BLOODY NICE CANVAS ON THE BAY , by jam on Feb 4, 2008 0:14:41 GMT 1, Problem is, One just sold at the Sothebys Contemporary Art Sale (L07713) in London for a hammer price with buyer's premium for £19,700. That means the seller actually net out about 13k. Given that piece had some condition issues, I expect you should look for around the 20-25k mark for yours as a private sale.

Shepard Fairey • Obama Prints, by jam on Feb 6, 2008 6:34:39 GMT 1, While I do see where Obey is coming from regarding the flippers, you have to admit the whole thing could be spun into a great news story about the demand for Obey & Obama stuff if they took hold and ran with it to different media outlets.

MORRISSEY1 (SORRY), by jam on Jan 29, 2008 4:55:35 GMT 1, Yep.. total BS on the >3 days at customs. I have had stuff sit in holding for over a week before clearing. I do think its terrible form for any seller to neglect getting tracking numbers for any buyer, and for failing to keep in constant communication even if you have no updates... treat buyers better than you would expect to be treated in the same circumstance and there will never be an issue.

Dain 🇺🇸 New York Street Art • Collaged Portraits, by jam on Jan 29, 2008 1:28:14 GMT 1, DAIN has been around for awhile from what I understand. He regularly works with his brother BAST out on the streets of NY and his work is all over the city. His stuff can be seen on the street right along side both BAST and Faile. For the quality and depth of his canvas or wood pieces and having them be large... they are a great value.

New set of Ian Francis prints, by jam on Jan 30, 2008 22:11:08 GMT 1, Got the set... and I see many comments about the shipping cost but when it arrives you will understand why. They sandwich the prints in paper, then in cardboard, then in plywood, then more cardboard. The prints are sent flat and arrive in mint condition, the most bombproof packing I have ever seen for packing prints.
