Doubt any one of us would be doing different in his shoes. Bravo!
Not a huge fan of the actual art.

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by medichead on Nov 6, 2020 12:36:59 GMT 1, Like others have already highlighted, it is of very little significance to the art world who the technician was that executed these paintings.
I don't see Hirst, Koons, or Wiley's market being affected by this in the slightest. They come up with a vision for a piece, and with their signature and branding (and that of a prestigious gallery) can sell these for handsome prices.
These won't appreciate in line with Banksy's market, and the image is very weak due to the crop.
I am enjoying seeing Mason dance around the issue and am glad he is seeking recognition for his technical ability.

Banksy - GDP Croydon - All Three Prints - Framed, by medichead on Nov 4, 2020 0:45:17 GMT 1, If you're shopping for knock-off lps it's the other for sale post, honey Not sure what your goal is here friend.
You have a new account, conspicuously similar in name to another member on here (https://urbanartassociation.com/user/18634). The only difference is every single one of your posts is terrible, so I don't think you're the same person.
You're embarrassing yourself, whatever that's worth to you, but suffice it to say you're seriously wasting your time.

Banksy, Walled Off Hotel, GIFT SHOP, by medichead on Nov 2, 2020 16:59:54 GMT 1, Freerange is wrong as usual (refunds being given out like sweets) Likes to make out he's in the know though 😅 was a guess. did you know? no. do you add anything to this forum? no. I think their point is that you, and some others, often state things as fact. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong. But it's helpful to know when you're guessing.

Doron Langberg New Edition Thursday 29th October, by medichead on Oct 30, 2020 11:58:21 GMT 1, Wow! Counter editions were once a supplier Of fine prints. Now 6 bernhardts a week and this.. No issue with the subject matter but it’s just not good art I think it’s a beautiful, fine print and one of the better editions they’ve offered in a while (and I’m a straight male, for what it’s worth). Realistically, I’m not going to put this up at home/office and I don’t like buying things and keeping in sleeves for investment value, so it was an easy decision not to purchase. But that doesn’t stop me appreciating it for what it is. The image/subject matter may make some people feel a bit uncomfortable, but, to me at least, that’s why it’s a good piece of art. Agreed.
Think this would have been a beautiful print!:

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by medichead on Oct 30, 2020 0:21:52 GMT 1, I would be extremely cautious about how much weight you seem to be placing an a handful of auction sales... I've been closely following the art market for almost 20 years. I look at long and short term trends. A handful of auctions can tell as much of a story as 5 years of auctions. Too many people look at the art market in the same way as stocks (or even crypto because of the extreme highs), but it's dangerous to do that, as there's very very rarely a correlation between the two. Art has its own set of rules, patterns, etc. To understand it, you need to understand the minds and intent of old money, new money, young fans, old fans, celebrities, galleries, artists, flippers, and everyone in between, because they all have a part to play.
If you want to talk market, let’s do it.
I presume you don’t think Arsham is a long term hold (20-30 years +).
When, exactly, do you think you would eject and dump your Arsham stock, and what signals will you look for to inform that decision?
I don’t want other members unwittingly getting left holding some bags...

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by medichead on Oct 29, 2020 9:40:14 GMT 1, Ohhh, c'mon bobby boy. If we're talking history, we should start at how you said unsigned Banksy prints were just tat that wouldn't go up.... As for KAWs, I know plenty of serious collectors who are liquidating --- his bubble is about to pop. The upcoming auctions (and lack of stock) tell a different story, particularly for his originals. His lower quality (and more generic) prints and vinyl have had a slight drop, but that's because they're mostly held by flippers and short-term/swing collectors. The canvases are still very tightly held and seeing solid results. Look at the most recent auctions.. $200k for Kimpsons PP, an Untitled for $650,000, and the mediocre ad disruption for $293,000. I also find it quite funny when people keep claiming that an artists bubble is about to 'pop'. It's very rare to see an artist like KAWS (who is very very strongly supported by collectors, galleries, celebrities, etc) drop in value. What we do see though is a broad drop in art values across the entire market, like we saw in 2016 when the 'overheated' market dropped almost overnight by about 20-30%. In fact, people have been predicting that the KAWS bubble will pop since around 2012 when the prices started to go stratospheric (after the Macy's day parade)... but that hasn't happened. If anything, I think his original (and high ranking print) prices have moved in-line with the general contemporary art market, which isn't a bad thing at all. The KAWS vinyl and mass market print market is another story altogether... KAWS runs a 2-speed economy in that sense.

Keith Haring Galerie Watari Poster For Sale, by medichead on Oct 29, 2020 0:18:59 GMT 1, So these are pretty rare - there are less than 1000 of these in existence (assuming that a few have been lost), and even fewer in mint or NM condition. Iconic imagery from an art icon. Can someone explain to me why they’re not worth a vast sum of money? Surely they should be worth more than a Banksy Tenner - who knows how many of those Laz has under his bed! First the pump...
Have an xtra one of these - they look amazing, esp floated in a jet black gallery frame. Can ship tubed or pickup in NYC. DM if interested - thx! ...then the dump.

Artorious007, by medichead on Oct 28, 2020 14:44:58 GMT 1, at the beginning (few weeks ago) i found him interesting, but now i can't stand him. he is so lame, saying same things every day. needless to say he is too much focused on money and not on the art itself. i never heard him saying "first you have to buy what you like" and that is rule number 1 on the art game! Rule number 1 is buy what makes money, not what you like. Rule number 1 is like the art that makes money

Banksy Welcome Mat, by medichead on Oct 28, 2020 13:59:15 GMT 1, The tag is different on the ones after 500 as they discovered people wanted to see the tag. So they made it so you can adjust it around the front if you want to.
So the first batch should be LESS valuable...? They have the lovely tag hidden away!

She definitely wasn’t, but I can’t say that vinyl dolls are helping her brand.

Who Are the Heavyweight Hype Art Advisors? , by medichead on Oct 23, 2020 17:13:31 GMT 1, Sounds like your taste is going to change quite a lot over the next year or so, I know mine has and still does.
On that basis, maybe try and purchase 1 large ($50-100k) piece per year? Hedge your bets with the market (some weak evening sales recently) and your taste evolution.

Pest Control COA • Banksy Print Authentication, by medichead on Oct 22, 2020 12:23:16 GMT 1, Team Banksy are going to disntance themselves from any items they don’t have a tight grip on. That makes sense.
It doesn’t mean your skateboards are worthless. Don’t panic! They’re just not official. Carry on.
