I'm a massive evertonian, but like most if not all scousers, we were all branded thugs and scum of the earth after Hillsborough.
And not just Hillsborough, work, everything was destroyed almost.
The city still hasn't recovered from those days.

Oh, and I do object to the amount of money being spent by the state (in times of austerity) on her state funeral.

A large chunk of the public seem to feel she should have a funeral of that status, so thats what she's getting, everyone will a personal opinion on that.
I said about the amount of money that will be used for security. If those who did not like her at least respected the funeral and those who want to attend the event in peace, the whole thing would cost us all much less.

If only that was true. Any big event like this needs security, and roads closed, etc. No more, or less, money is spent because she's so hated....
But that she's so hated should at least tell the authorities to scale the event down, don't you think?

I also love the way that the self appointed clever people use the words naive and patronise when trying to argue a point against someone else's opinion, implying that because you differ from them then you simply must be uneducated. Great kid with a degree on the radio today defended his chanting about her death by saying her didn't like her part in taking us to war in Iraq.
