BEWARE โข Fake Invader Kits, by howies on Nov 10, 2013 15:30:55 GMT 1, Poor Orbi will be taking on a whole lot of questions about provenance now, As you say it was never an issue untill Invader put the price up to such a substantial amount (don't recall exact price) of the GID invasion, Invader has created this issue by selling a piece of art/tile at a price that anyone gets on the secondary market, But the fact that they seem they are unable or unwilling to give provenance for these tiles wont sit right for many, There must be 1000+ unsigned tiles out of bags, Maybe?? are they all worthless? especially if Orbi has not kept sale documents over the last 5 years

Perhaps the embossed print is only on the Fake bags... Not sure if invader printed the yellow text on the bags with embossed method..
My photoshop skills are not great, but i can't make it any clearer than this. Now that i look at this picture i can't believe i never noticed it. On the other hand; i never looked so closely either and you need to look at tho kit in the right lighting.

And i would love to buy from source but i keep missing out on the releases so i have no choice and i have to buy from secondary market. But even buying from galleries is not 100%-real-proof...

I think the yellow writing is on all of them. But it's if there is embossing and yellow writing that does not match up like the pics posted by json. But my IK11 (from a gallery) has no embossing, its just text printed on, thats why I am wondering what other IK11's are - or all of the kits.

I have a few kits and annoyed with myself for not noticing this earlier as I have just compared the 2 kits I don't have on the wall yet - a glow-in-the-dark kit from source, and a Hypnotic kit from 999, and its obvious that the Hypnotic is a fake. For all the reasons on the bag as mentioned on the thread, plus it looks like the instruction sheet on the fake is ink-jet printed and the legit is litho printed.
Stefano emailed me last night to alert me so have checked and read this thread this morning.
lets see what happens next. Thanks to Json and Justdave for flagging this up.
The other thing that i'm confused about is Orbi's / Invaders stance on these once opened -
I had planned to open my glow in the dark kit and mount/hang it before Xmas, obviously keeping the bag and my original receipt. Are they saying that by doing this my โฌ750 purchase will be effectively worthless? If so I will not be happy in the slightest!!!

All you need to know is which tiles Invader uses, and where to buy the bags.
It seems the trickiest part is infact copying the exact text on the bag, and the instruction label on the back.
As for Invader not keeping records of buyers, I'm doubtful. His payment method must at least keep some record?

Orbi said that in respons to my question if the kit was a fake too. He responded : The bag is a fake and the kit was out of it's original bag so i can not guearantee that the kit is real so i would treat the kit as a fake. He was not talking about all the kits who were taken out of the bags. |

just catching up on 4 pages of posts here, so apologize if i missed it...so the gallery has all the information on the guy that sold them the shite invader's yea? so can we expect legal action here? im no attorney, but if orbi/invader cant even confirm/deny that once removed from original bag whether or not it's real or fake, then how could one even pursue this credibly?
i hope we have more updates from the gallery as this all unfolds.
