Whatson, by madeinnorway on Nov 4, 2014 0:07:37 GMT 1, Really like some of the pieces for the show, seems all the negative feedback towards MW here has not affected the sales, if the pieces marked as sold has sold. I understand some of the negative feedback, but stil think MW is a talented artist and i enjoy the pieces of him i have on the wall. Bougth a large chinook harts canvas a couple of weeks ago, on its way with dhl and looking forward to put it on the wall. Wish i could visit the show, but just dont have the time.

Not quite the same , still skills in prep and spray etc
Agree big a jump on prices , but if demands there , make the most of it .
Less prints would be better , collectors buy each release , once they lose interest can create a big gap ,they fuel secondary market prices, can rely on new buyers but most buy with thought to gain back original cost if sell or gain a profit and also once flippers realise no profit to be made will slow sales down , smaller editions if same scale of releases New work is great still , fun and easy on the eye New buyers not familiar with work will like. Bigger market than us forum guys

I agree it takes skill to put it all together find an image make a stencil, spray the taggy stuff free hand.
The canvases the colorful taggy stuff looks good but to me the figures look a bit washed outand could be sharper or more defined.
It could the the photos on the site and they look better in the flesh.
It take some skill to make good faces too.
The pop up show is telling people that if they want the print they have to bring cash.

I did not see anything excitting in that pdf. Yes the colors are beautiful and the stencils may be well done, but is that all?
I think the feeling among many here is that MW's art is, other than what you mentioned is 'formulaic', is being pushed out on this forum in an overly frequent basis, so much so people feel overwhelmed by the stock of works that come, and then feel underwhelmed when they see the same ideas executed every time.
If you look back this forum in the past year, it's pretty obvious MW is the name that pops up threads most often (the other being Banksy, but hey this forum started off his name). He has simply put out too many print releases and collaborated with too many artists - sometimes too much of a good thing can really be bad.

As long as guarantee to get back original purchase price if bubble bursts ;-) Can't complain :-) Indeed

I can't wait for the bubble to burst then I can finally get my hands on an eternal reflection at a nice cheap price to put next to my one small step.

With all artists on this forum , forums represent a minority of the collectors , buyers views..
Some people are very vocal and opinionated on a forum whilst others come on here and don't contribute to discussions but gain info and freebies on print giveaways:-) So not gaining a true reflection
The guys cv list gallery exhibitions international , hence a lot of buyers outside of this forum
As a collector I would like to see less prints and re editions but that's my selfish thought , I favour the rarity

Maybe they dont have card machine available and there must be lots of cash dispensers nearby.
Must have good security in that part of London too having all that cash around.

You're thinking pretty small though, its a single forum, ok ships a fair chunk of business his way, but is he big enough to survive without all of you whingers now? I have a feeling so.
