STOLEN BANKSY'S, by Metropolis Art on Feb 11, 2015 16:22:26 GMT 1, We would like to give all the forum members here a heads up on 2 Banksy's that have been fraudulently "purchased" from us, we think on stolen credit cards. The details are as below:
'Gold Flag' edition number /112 they will have a valid COA from pest control, we think this one has made it to the States.
'Toxic Mary' edition number /150 again will have a valid COA from pest control.
We are in the process of informing Pest Control as to their status and have already reported it to Action Fraud Squad.
If anybody has been offered these prints or has any information we would appreciate being contacted on here or through our website www.metropolisartworks.com

We actually checked with the credit card company before accepting the transactions, they assured us that providing we complied with all the security requests on our PDQ machine, we would be golden. Having the money cleared into your account is no guarantee of anything... you can get a chargeback from the owner a stolen card up to (I think) 90 days after payment.

Once you're allowed to, it would be good to give the user name, and probably the real name, of the forum member selling stolen goods!

Hopefully everything will work out with Metropolis getting their money and me keeping my print.
I'm not impressed with the huge flaw in the Pest Control system though. I could have bought the print 4 months and 8 days after the credit card fraud took place and have been told that everything is in order.
