The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 9:15:35 GMT 1, Is Albania in the Schengen zone? I saw a report about the Albanians that arrived illegally in Kent and the ones gathering in Calais region to try to get to UK that even if France kicked them out they can return freely cos of Schengen.
Macedonia is not in EU yet it's easy for Macedonians to arrive in france and get social security at the drop of a hat too.
Looks like Europes borders are deliberately pourous.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Matt on Jun 22, 2016 9:32:24 GMT 1, Is Albania in the Schengen zone? Macedonia is not in EU yet it's easy for Macedonians to arrive in france and get social security at the drop of a hat too. Looks like Europes borders are deliberately pourous.
Ultimately why would that be a problem ? I have a family house in France, both my neighbours are Brits who work locally because they can.
Why would I care if they were Albanians or Macedonians ? Is there something I don't know about people of those nationalities that I should be aware of ?
The fact that anyone can get benefits in France at the drop of a hat is a problem with the French system, and my English neighbours can benefit from it as much as Albanians and Macedonians.
In fact this very system of benefits is the reason for which I left France.
I do not accept to pay taxes (for me and my employees) to fund this ridiculously lax system. The NHS and dole in the UK are much more reasonable despite all their own problems.
But if the UK votes out because they have issues with foreigners, and the cost of living rises combined with weakened financial position, I will happily go live elsewhere where I feel more in agreement with the politics.

I believe it was due to Cameron's fear of the UKIP vote at the last election. He thought that could stop him getting a majority. So he promised what their supporters had been asking for. The referendum.
In other news 1200 business leaders, including 51 of the FTSE100, have written an open letter expressing concerns about damage to business (and to my mind, therefore jobs) if we vote leave.

Most likely is remain, but even with that result I'm sure we are gonna see big changes.

Thank you. I think sources are important as statistics can, as we know, be manipulated by both sides.
Interestingly, the FT give their opinion as to what is best for the country. It's Remain.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jun 22, 2016 14:21:28 GMT 1, Where has the Remain camp gone wrong?
The remain campaigns aim should have been to win over Leave voters but from what I have seen the Leave supporters have been tagged as Stupid, Racist and Uneducated.
To me it feels like the Leave campaign has hardly needed to do anything in the last couple of weeks as the Remain insult the public and seem to think the people will just admit their ignorance and allow the so called experts to decide for us.
I always thought it was a vote for the people to decide? not to be told what to vote!

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Reader on Jun 22, 2016 14:28:31 GMT 1, Well I for one never snitched to the teacher on Nuart... To report something would've meant I was in someway bothered about baseless comments. To be bothered about comments made towards me on this thread by Nuart would mean I valued the opinion... Which I don't. I find it a shame to have left as others clearly found Nuarts imput to the forum worthwhile. Did I say I reported him? No. Lets clear the air right now. People are reported on here ALL the time. I have had people pm me telling me they are reporting my comments for god sakes. That tells me people are "going out of there way" to report now a days on here. That leaves me to believe peoples comments/threads are being reported more then you think now a days on here. No idea why but there is no way he left because of that. You do not get any kind of notice if your thread gets reported so I 100% doubt he was ever informed about it either. He deleted his own account on his free will from the looks of it. I have "SEEN" people complain about this guy since I joined this board. So if they found what he said "out of line" then that is there choice. It becomes a bigger issue when someone who is respected on this board is running around and posting baseless attacks/accusations about other members on here plain and simple. This board is suppose to be about art but when people start ranting about politics and religion, it becomes a bigger issue. Ever since the political threads have popped up, he has went crazy with his responses and attacks. Nuart even chimed in on a conversation about the US economy, calling people stupid when the guy has NO idea what is happening in the US. He is not from the US nor lives in the US. Unfortunately all I have seen from the guy is him losing his marbles. With all that said, maybe he just needed a time out or a nap. You would have to ask him. He's not running around making baseless comments, nor ranting, he's simply and calmly responding to ridiculous and ignorant statements like "He's not from the US nor lives in the US and therefor shouldn't comment on the US economy", he thinks comments like this are stupid, and occassionally says so. He realises he should perhaps be a little more nuanced and say why he thinks it's stupid in the hope of making the postee less stupidier, but often can't be arsed. He's from Yorkshire and if you've ever heard the phrase "doesn't suffer fools gladly" then you'll perhaps understand why he gets a little stroppy at times. Regarding Nuart, considering a vast part of this culture is born of political activism and is the reason he's involved in it, he no longer wanted Nuart to be tainted by association with the often right wing and arch conservative rhetoric spouted on here of late. He's had a nap and feeling fresh. He assures me his marbles are where they've always been.
Peace

I always thought it was a vote for the people to decide? not to be told what to vote! The Referendum isn't really about the UK's place in the EU, or improving democracy, or sovereignty and the queen, or immigration and tighter borders. It's as it's ever been, about wealth and power.
The only winners are the wealthy, the only losers are the middle and working class. The NHS and public services will be stripped bare, wealthy will continue to take advantage of cheap immigrant labour, TTIP will remain.
Screwed if you stay, screwed if you leave.

The EU doesn't have a future, so it's a balancing act as to how long all the countries stay in while they feel a benefit from it, and when it's better economically to pull out and leave before the s**t hits the fan.
If it goes Remain then we just carry on a few more years until the EU car crash looms even bigger and the public beg for another referendum.

Yeah, I mean if it's not possible to negotiate or reform the EU anymore our only option is to leave. It's hard to believe the UK can seriously change anything in the EU in the future, so it's a matter of facing up to the facts or vote Remain and sit back and watch the EU slowly drag us down for the next decade.
I get the feeling that the EU's refusal to negotiate any further will be matched by the UK's stubborness about being told what to do. "Today we found out that the EU is opening new membership talks with Turkey on 30 June. Just 7 days after the referendum! Read the full story here.
It’s depressing but not surprising. We get lie after lie from the IN campaign whose only argument is Project Fear."
I am trying to ascertain if this is factual

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 19:52:35 GMT 1, Is Albania in the Schengen zone? I saw a report about the Albanians that arrived illegally in Kent and the ones gathering in Calais region to try to get to UK that even if France kicked them out they can return freely cos of Schengen. Macedonia is not in EU yet it's easy for Macedonians to arrive in france and get social security at the drop of a hat too. Looks like Europes borders are deliberately pourous. Isn't it fantastic to be able to meet people from so many different cultures ! Love it ! I agree to meet people from different cultures on ones own terms is wonderful.
Not so nice to meet people from different cultures for the German women on New years Eve in Cologne and women in Sweden and Rochdale England
