The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Reader on Jun 22, 2016 19:54:42 GMT 1, He's not running around making baseless comments, nor ranting, he's simply and calmly responding to ridiculous and ignorant statements like "He's not from the US nor lives in the US and therefor shouldn't comment on the US economy", he thinks comments like this are stupid, and occassionally says so. He realises he should perhaps be a little more nuanced and say why he thinks it's stupid in the hope of making the postee less stupidier, but often can't be arsed. He's from Yorkshire and if you've ever heard the phrase "doesn't suffer fools gladly" then you'll perhaps understand why he gets a little stroppy at times. Regarding Nuart, considering a vast part of this culture is born of political activism and is the reason he's involved in it, he no longer wanted Nuart to be tainted by association with the often right wing and arch conservative rhetoric spouted on here of late. He's had a nap and feeling fresh. He assures me his marbles are where they've always been. Peace Regarding Nuart? Your whole response is about him(you). So your saying he(you) deleted your account because you want to become a "Art" board political activist? No place for that here. 99% of talk is about "art" here. Are you just going to post political threads on here and post in them only? The crazy talk continues. This is what I mean by him(you) losing marbles. Nothing simple and calm about calling people idiots for there own opinions and calling them bigots and racists because they dont agree with you. Try again. The weirdness gets weirder and weirder. Date Registered: yesterday at 6:04am. Btw Welcome back Nuart. Obvious that is you. Hard to claim otherwise. LOL, I give up.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 19:55:56 GMT 1, Can anyone verify this thing about Turkey joining next month? Don't think it's true. Merkel wants Turkey to join because she is deluded and acting like a dictator. The EU want's Tukey to join because it's run by drunks. The EU wanted Ukraine to joinand overthrow it's government in order to let big American and European corps take control of Ukraines farmland etc. Turkey should never be allowed to join Europe.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Coach on Jun 22, 2016 19:58:51 GMT 1, I get the feeling that the EU's refusal to negotiate any further will be matched by the UK's stubborness about being told what to do. Yeah, I mean if it's not possible to negotiate or reform the EU anymore our only option is to leave. It's hard to believe the UK can seriously change anything in the EU in the future, so it's a matter of facing up to the facts or vote Remain and sit back and watch the EU slowly drag us down for the next decade.
I believe the opposite of just about everything you say in this post.

It's not true as far as I am aware. It's many years off. They have to comply with 30+ requirements, relating to all sorts of EU minimum standards. As I understand it, at present they have complied with 1.
The constant reference to Turkey joining the EU by the Leave campaign, in the context that it's something we should be terrified of, is incredibly insulting to an entire nation.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 20:15:45 GMT 1, Is Albania in the Schengen zone? I saw a report about the Albanians that arrived illegally in Kent and the ones gathering in Calais region to try to get to UK that even if France kicked them out they can return freely cos of Schengen. Macedonia is not in EU yet it's easy for Macedonians to arrive in france and get social security at the drop of a hat too. Looks like Europes borders are deliberately pourous. Ultimately why would that be a problem ? I have a family house in France, both my neighbours are Brits who work locally because they can. Why would I care if they were Albanians or Macedonians ? Is there something I don't know about people of those nationalities that I should be aware of ? The fact that anyone can get benefits in France at the drop of a hat is a problem with the French system, and my English neighbours can benefit from it as much as Albanians and Macedonians. In fact this very system of benefits is the reason for which I left France. I do not accept to pay taxes (for me and my employees) to fund this ridiculously lax system. The NHS and dole in the UK are much more reasonable despite all their own problems. But if the UK votes out because they have issues with foreigners, and the cost of living rises combined with weakened financial position, I will happily go live elsewhere where I feel more in agreement with the politics. The way I see it is if one move to live in another country then one has to take the good with the bad.
So you left France cos you didn't like paying tax in France?
You are wrong about the fact that anyone can get benefits in France at the drop of a hat.
Why would you care if you had Albanian or Macedonian neighbours in France I agree. I don't care who my neighbours are too.
The point I was making is that people can arrive in France who have contributed nothing into the system and get benefits at the drop of a hat.
Whilst others from an EU country get discriminated against.
A Brit from the UK who arrives in France cannot get benefits untill they have contributed and paid tax in France. People have arrived from Macedonia in France and have demanded benefits immediately without contributing a penny towards the French system and got them.
I also know for a fact that in many regions of France, Brits are being asked to provide a residence permit before they are considered eligible for benefits help with rent etc by social security departments and when the Brits go to apply to the town hall for a residence permit they are refused and told they don't need one because they are EU citizens. The expat and anglo info etc forums have a few Brits who are deliberately being discriminated against.
That is not to do with French law as much as local politics and discrimination. By the same token the french would not dare to discriminate the same way against a non EU ethnic minority.
You employed people in France i'm sure you have plenty of experience of local politics in France.
I mentioned Macedonians as it was Macedonians who arrived and got benefits easily. If it was Australians or any other non EU citizens who arrived and got benefits easily in France I would have referenced them.
Nothing racist in my observation as it's an observation based on facts.
You left France because you did not want to pay tax there which would have gone to unemployed people and low earners in France.
Thats very liberal of you.
I'm happy to pay tax in France.

Using a daily mail link? Probably not going to be that impartial. But you're right it has been mentioned elsewhere

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 20:28:36 GMT 1, I think Cameron called it very wrong regadring deciding upon an EU referendum.
Farage has been like the devil whispering in Camerons ear whipping up animosity towards EU memenership. farage did no even get re elected as an MEP or MP and not even to run UKIP in the end and said he wa shanding over the reigns of UKIP and went back on his wrod quickly.
Farage is probably working for some very wealthy NIMBY's who have media and press contacts for Farage to promote his Brexit agenda.
Cameron fell for it believing the majority of UK people want to stay in Europe and called it wrong and decided on this referendum.
Boris waded in with his deliberate buffooning of using a German made Brexit bus etc to spoil the credibility of the Brexit brigade by being funded with millions of taxpayers pounds and heading the Brexit campaign. These pubic school boys like Cameron and Boris stick together always.
Whatever the result. Camerons credibility is finished. Boris will be punished by the Tory party and if Corby continues with confidence. Labour should win the next election.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 20:33:39 GMT 1, Anyone invited China yet? Thats the thing about the EU. It's Thatcherism with a capital S for socialism. Thatcher loved fat middle men importing cheap Chinese and Indian etc made goods which put UK small manufacturors out of business. The EU countries are a wash with Chinese made goods whilst people across Europe have been closing business because rent prices increased and they could not compete with the middle men importers into Europe.
The EU does not care about peoples livelyhoods and jobs or creating jobs and small manufacturing. It spouts the global warming bollocks while encouraging shit burning aircraft importing goods from China etc creating billinaires who are buying up european properties and companies.
Was it Brexit Boris who supported the Chinese building anuclear power station in the UK?

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Harveyn on Jun 22, 2016 20:36:03 GMT 1, Read this quote today from Billy Bragg and dismissed it.
This image, of a smirking Nigel Farage in front of a poster of dark skinned people, sums up why I decided to vote to remain in the EU: Not every Leave voter is a racist, but every racist will vote Leave.
But on reflection its an interesting question. We all know racist's exist in the UK but would there be any possibly scenario were one would vote remain?
Also was the £600k donated by the BNP to the leave campaign politely rejected? If not should it have been.

Billy Bragg's an idiot champagne socialist.
Racism comes in all colors and there was a documentary on Channel 4 citizen Khan or something similar and shot up north somewhere. The Pakistanis were complaining that they didnt like the Romanians and plenty of ethnic minorities in the Uk are against more immigration from many countries.
Tribal racism has existed for centuries.
Dan Hodges wrote an article regarding the Torys vans saying illegal immigrants should go home, he wrote there were official signs saying blacks go home. I asked him to show proof of these signs. He did not.
Ed Miliband made a speech saying he would prevent eastern Europeans from Poland entering the UK.
That's targeted racism but thats OK cos Poles are white.
The wording on the UKIP poster could have said anything that UKIP wanted it to say, but the photo of fit healthy young men marching towards UK, Germany etc going through safe countries shows them to be migrants not refugees.
Read this quote today from Billy Bragg and dismissed it.
The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 20:51:36 GMT 1, I love Patrick Stewart. I'd vote any way he says vote.
His father was a one off too. There was fascinating documentary about his father a while back.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by iamzero on Jun 22, 2016 20:58:01 GMT 1, Interesting point. There is much more sectarianism within the Asian community than many people know about. The whole thing is built on a cast system but this appears to be largely ignored until so called honour killings are made. It's a very closed community with the elders and this somehow accepted but is frowned upon when our elders have an opinion about race? Very complicated. Love a bit of Billy Bragg and don't often dig the mans politics but he makes a valid point this time maybe? Not entirely sure I agree but still worth thinking about.

What about you coach? You seem pretty keen on staying in.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 22, 2016 21:47:42 GMT 1, There should have been a third option.
Vote to refuse to comply with EU laws when it suits the UK.
Other countries have done it.

An impossible question to answer. It would depend on the state of the country. The only way of answering it would be if we leave the EU and in years to come we'll find out if it was massive mistake or the right thing to do
