This is why you shouldn't discuss politics or religion.
You should hear my opinions on christianity.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Apr 22, 2016 18:35:13 GMT 1, Barack Obama says UK will go to 'back of the queue' for US trade deals if Britain leave.
Ouch! Doesn't sound like a very Special Relationship to me I don't know what Obama thought the outcome to a comment like that would be, but to me I think it damages relations between the two countries and make the UK even more likely to vote Leave. Obama is very popular with the UK Public, but I think he will regret making a comment like that.

I believe the absolute opposite. Did you listen to everything he said? I thought his comments were measured and sensible. But it has become clear that views are rather entrenched. I just hope that those undecided will make the right choice. I am so fearful of the number of jobs that will be lost if people vote out.

He certainly tried his hardest to answer the questions, I mean I had never seen a press conference before with the answers going on and on and on! I think Dave in the end had wished the replies had been a bit shorter and to the point. I think some of the quotes will work against them when they appear in the media, so I think it failed, but I think we will see the fallout from it over the next few days. love to hear the conversation at the Obama dinner this evening

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by cktbreaker on Apr 22, 2016 21:18:00 GMT 1, And together we will... SECURITY! PROSPERITY! DEMOCRACY! something about the USA contributing to the enigma machine, which I was unaware of, and back to SECURITY, PROSPERITY and then or else you don't get to partake in crap trade deals. And we know where the money from trade deals ends up, somewhere off shore, untaxed, perhaps in Panama.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Apr 23, 2016 2:42:11 GMT 1, I got bored with Obama droning on. He is a good speaker and intelligent but it's easy to see through him regarding his EU rhetoric. Clinton is phoning the EU in advance knowing she will be the Democrat candidate and the special relationship with the UK is only in sharing the same language. The EU are puppetes of the big US corps at times and so is Clinton. I agree that Obama sees the EU with rose tinted spectacles yet would he allow something similar like a pan American version of the EU dictate what the US has to do. I doubt it.
The EU has always been a goal for the US to help achieve to create an anti Russia federal europe.
I think RT News had some person pointing out to Katie Hopkins gobbing off about leaving the EU that the UK has an unelected House of Lords plus stuff that is undemocratic.
What the out campaign is not telling people and not saying about migration is the migration from former colonies to the UK and the percentage of those migrants who contribute or do not contribute compared with migrants from European countries. I know that fat middle men make a lot of money from cheap labour in some of the the former British colonies. Fat middle men who donate to political parties.
It seems what the UK people want is ignored by outsiders. We have an Argentinian migrant head of a cult telling Europeans to accept all the non european migrants into Europe and we have a US president working in the interests of US corporations telling the UK that if the UK leaves the EU, that as far as the US is concerned the friendship is over because the US wants access and influence to all of Europe via it's people who run the EU. Blair listened to Clinton etc regarding Yugoslavia and Kosovo and we all know how that ended. The same way that Merkel etc is listening to Clinton and the US regarding Syria and the huge problem caused by left wing socialist policies which have done enormous damage to the middle east since the overthrow of the Shah of Persia. Syria a western backed and funded overthrow of Assad has created a migrant storm heading for and arriving in Europe which is a by product of the attempted overthrow of Assad and the EU via Merkel puppet handing over billions to Turkey and no one knows what actually happens to those billions of tax payers money.
Prices rising taxes rising people losing jobs migrants arriving they need housing look whose losing.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by love on May 21, 2016 22:15:40 GMT 1, Leave the EU. I'm really sick of the british poltitics when it comes to the EU. Didn't want to help southern countries, no refugees, no €,... That list is too long. Leave or get a 100% member. No special way for the British anymore. I really wish the EU could vote if they want the British to leave.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by FЯ on May 21, 2016 22:50:00 GMT 1, Catastrophic to leave.
Most reasons to leave are based on racism and old fashioned thinking. if your voting to leave because of migration or what people did in world war 2 then your holding things back. So you get sovereignty, drink a beer and celebrate. Then what. Means nothing.

The IFS (whose predictions are more respected than most) give a worrying perspective (see link below). And they join the IMF, the bank of England, most economists, the government, the Labour Party, the Liberals, the TUC, credit suisse analyst, the nus, unison, the Russell group, business leaders......the list goes on and on.

I think the economy will suffer. We will fall in to a recession. There will be further deeper austerity cuts. But if most concern to me will be the huge number of job losses. Of course I don't know for sure. But that's what I think will happen. If we vote out, I hope I'm wrong.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Bill Hicks on May 25, 2016 15:10:16 GMT 1, ... what have the Romans ever done for us ...
The aqueduct?
What?
The aqueduct.
Oh. Yeah, yeah. They did give us that. Uh, that's true. Yeah.
And the sanitation.
Oh, yeah, the sanitation, Reg. Remember what the city used to be like?
Yeah. All right. I'll grant you the aqueduct and the sanitation are two things that the Romans have done.
And the roads.
Well, yeah. Obviously the roads. I mean, the roads go without saying, don't they? But apart from the sanitation, the aqueduct, and the roads--
Irrigation.
Medicine.
Huh? Heh? Huh...
Education.
Ohh...
Yeah, yeah. All right. Fair enough.
And the wine.
Oh, yes. Yeah...
Yeah. Yeah, that's something we'd really miss, Reg, if the Romans left. Huh.
Public baths.
And it's safe to walk in the streets at night now, Reg.
Yeah, they certainly know how to keep order. Let's face it. They're the only ones who could in a place like this.
Hehh, heh. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.
All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
Brought peace.
Oh. Peace? Shut up!

The fact that the title is 'Brexit' says exactly where it's coming from. It's bollocks, propaganda from an organisation designed to get people to think in favour of their beliefs. So in answer to your request, 'f**k off, I've got better things to do with my time'.
Personally, I believe this should never have been put to the population. We are not educated enough to fully understand this and make rational decisions - that is why we vote in politicians, to take decisions on our behalf. And if we don't like what they do we'll get rid of them at the next election. Not ideal, but the best we've got at the moment.
The level of debate is embarrassing and sinking deeper and deeper each day. And at the end of all this we wiill have a deeply divided country through our own stupidity.
The EU isn't perfect, but don't blame the failings of our Govts ( past, present and future ) on Europe.
And I will vote to remain in because I value the creation of workers rights the EU has given us, the freedom of movement, peace, the support to those countries less fortunate. I could go on. And as coach has pointed out, there are quite a lot of respected organisations that support us remaining.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on May 25, 2016 15:44:41 GMT 1,
I think the real referendum vote will probably end up with a similar result as what we are seeing here, but as things then continue to deteriorate in Europe over the next few years the public mood will swing more towards leaving and another vote could become a winning election promise. The impression I get is that the "Remain" are very vocal, but most of the "Leave" supporters are keeping quiet with their views. The vote here is getting closer!

The impression I get is that the "Remain" are very vocal, but most of the "Leave" supporters are keeping quiet with their views. The vote here is getting closer!

Here maybe so. But in the real world the brexit bunch are pretty bloody vocal! Appalling campaign. That said, I'm not impressed by the governments tactics either.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by mojo on May 25, 2016 16:48:40 GMT 1, It was either this or the Hokey Cokey..... in out in out rah rah rah! Seriously, if the implications of leaving the EU consist of war, further recession, utter catastrophe and doom why the hell are the general public being asked to vote using fear tactics and scare mongering... disgraceful. The entire campaign has been an utter shambles, in or out, and is a very accurate reflection of politics and bureaucracy in general. It's divide and conquer politics and won't end well either way, but hey whatever the outcome we voted for it so ultimately we'll get the blame. So far I'm very uncomfortable voting either way.

And as coach has pointed out, there are quite a lot of respected organisations that support us remaining.
that's just you.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on May 25, 2016 18:14:13 GMT 1, Quick question from a non European: What reasons did the UK give for keeping the GBP instead of switching to the Euro back in the day?
