Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by Deleted on Jun 6, 2016 20:11:54 GMT 1, How funny
The middle classes speak, so irresponsible etc etc
would be great if the teachers gave the kids some spray paint and asked them to add to the image
that would be a cool art class

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by tartarus on Jun 6, 2016 20:45:00 GMT 1, No one heard of the victorian children's game- 'hoop rolling'? A very clear message in this piece. Brilliant work.
interplay of messages i guess. The lost innocence of kids with hoops to adults with burning tyres. Or maybe leading the kids to realise that while they play with hoops people fight for their lives with burning tyres. Very cool piece though.

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by stillborncrisps on Jun 6, 2016 21:30:55 GMT 1, Two things have got me curious about the setup of this.
1. Why did the school go straight to the PR company (to say they'd named a school house after Banksy) A more obvious route would be to email the address on Banksy.co.uk rather than through a third party. Is it even that well known that Banksy has a PR company?
2. Given how this kind of work is now done (white vans, taupaulins, scaffold, etc...) How did the caretaker not spot this going on? I'm pretty sure Banksy and co didn't hop over the school fence, they must've been granted access to drive in?

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by Daniel Silk on Jun 6, 2016 21:37:28 GMT 1, Yeah, I find it hard to believe the school didn't know.
I imagine they would have had maybe a van or two so they could block any views of the work as it was being done, but then would Banksy actually do it himself?
Or maybe they got access to the school and told them it was being done on the strict condition that if they see any sign that news of Banksy being there was leaked he would pull out straight away.

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by iamzero on Jun 6, 2016 21:42:16 GMT 1, Just a quick question. Why wouldn't he just hop over the fence... That's what graffiti artist do, I lost track how many pairs of jeans I ripped hopping over barbed wire fences to tag up vans and buses. For fucks sake... These people get on lilo's on Christmas morning to paint a wall. The people on this so called street art forum are so far removed from the roots of this art is fuckin ridiculous sometimes.

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by 11 on Jun 6, 2016 21:45:58 GMT 1, I've not been on here much at all, not even lurking but I cannot believe the levels of discussion around this piece. To me it is the conflict between the innocence of youth and the harsh reality of life - not the cocooned life we live here with our 4x4's and iEverything but children watching, no actually experiencing the horror of our times.
Someone sent me some photos and that was the first I knew of it, and as soon as i saw the first pic which was a close-up of the tyre with no commentary whatsoever I knew it was a Banksy straight away
PR (yawn), Judgmental Cynicism and another awful attempt to hype Stik - i want to laugh but finding myself just shaking my head in disbelief - fuck me, times really do change.

And it matches, all Is stopped, even motorway . Maybe the future of our kids is not only simple old games, but burning games : Revolution ! Or no future. 1976/2016 punk anniversary.

Because if observed it looks too suspicious. Banksy's 'hiding in plain sight' method is far more efficient. I doubt he's hopped over a wall in the last ten years.

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by Deleted on Jun 6, 2016 22:11:31 GMT 1, Whats wrong with a baby elephant on the wall and some flowers and stuff like that?
If a local artist approached the school and said, i would like to paint a wall for free and I have an idea, how about a kid with a burning tyre. he school would have told them, f off you're having a laugh.
