Brexit, by Masong on Mar 15, 2019 10:17:01 GMT 1, Brexiteers call remainers ‘remoaners’ and remainers call brexiteers ‘morons’. I know which one I feel is more offensive. That wasn’t my point... no need for insults at all.
Yeh I know it wasn’t your point, I was more responding to the word remoaner. My apologies .No insults here.

Brexit, by Deleted on Mar 15, 2019 12:19:05 GMT 1, As a Remainer, I am set against a 2nd referendum. The majority voted to leave the EU so that is what we should do. Yes, it will be a disaster but perhaps that will teach people a lesson. If you are an angry poor person, sticking two fingers up at the establishment is not the way forward.
But, hey, that's democracy for you.

Brexit, by moron on Mar 15, 2019 13:24:49 GMT 1, If I were 'making it up' Farage and the like would be in prison for tax avoidance and inciting racial hate. Corbyn is responsible for the leave vote made high enough to back Brexit.

Brexit, by Chris JL on Mar 21, 2019 1:49:42 GMT 1,
The saddest bit is that it was totally expected, since one’s bargaining power is proportional to the (relative) value of one’s outside option. And UK’s outside option (ie raising trade barriers with the EU), as by now should be clear to everybody smarter than a tool, is crap. And, again sadly, that’s also totally expected, since the pie in the sky brexiters have been fighting against (beside basic intellectual honesty and logic) gravity itself: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_model_of_trade

Looks similar to Imbue's 'In Case of Riot Break Glass' which had a coke bottle filled with petrol with a set of matches.

In the event of a referendum, Birmingham’s apparent apathy toward either resolution would appear to be the battle ground for campaigns.

The map is great, someone with a few quid could sponsor targeted facebook ads and get the message out to the lazy constituencies!
Thats quite a difference between those 2 petitions! Ones been running since December too! There have been more people signing the revoke each day, than have signed that no deal one since December.
Brummies seem to be kinda sitting this one out!
Since you probably also like the stats, this is shows the timeline for its course. Not exactly grinding to a halt either.

Brexit, by Coach on Mar 26, 2019 10:58:30 GMT 1, On the subject of statistics, on the radio this morning it was said that the latest polls are that 55% would now vote to remain, and that only 6% now believe we will leave with a good deal.
It does at least question whether the nearly three year old binary referendum, when little was known what would actually happen, still represents “the will of the people”.

Brexit, by Deleted on Mar 26, 2019 11:39:11 GMT 1, Although I would prefer to remain in the EU, I don't have much faith in these petitions. Why would the government take any notice of this? They go by election results not opinion polls. 5 million is a drop in the ocean I'm afraid. Even if it got to 10 million signatures that's still an irrelevant number considering the UK population is about 65 million. They already know there are millions of people who want to remain in the EU. This isn't telling them anything they don't already know.
