Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by sandinista on Jan 24, 2022 18:04:49 GMT 1, Put your money in cheese spread. Last week in asda ยฃ1 a tub. This week ยฃ1.47. Not sure how they justify 47% rise especially when id just watched the bbc telling us how much milk is going to waste. Lurpak was ยฃ2.75 for 500g now ยฃ4 just so they can reduce it to ยฃ3.75 next week and say how great they are. Kitchen Foil, never seen on offer. Gas, goes up in october just as you're putting the heating on. Comes down in May when you're not using it. With these current massive hikes you can bet they never come down again! We need a revolution and privatise the utilities and run not for profit. Bunch of thieving c***s
Rich get Richer so no worries about the banksy market. At least until you need to trade it for a loaf of bread, some cheese spread and pack of 24 toilet roll.

Let them eat cake, even if itโs 50p more.

I suppose illegal lockdown parties and bunging ยฃbillions to yer mates for useless TT&T apps and PPE don't come for free...well not to likes of us anyway. What time does the riot/revolution start?

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by sandinista on Jan 24, 2022 18:39:21 GMT 1, Most of these utility companies and train companies are foreign owned and the british one BG is struggling with nearly ยฃ15bn revenue. They try to tell you that wholesale prices have risen. They actively trade these commodities and make money going up or down.
Food it's the supermarkets taking the P*ss. Their price rises are substantial % wise and if they aren't doing that they are reducing the portions. Must get 5 crisps in a packet now. Don't get me started. I'm just printing my wrong war placards.
Has the cost of new art gone up? Anything in red gone up 200% due to the lack of beetles making the pigment prices rise?

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Jan 24, 2022 21:26:19 GMT 1, Some good posts and yes I had to have a word with the wife, the other day she bought the kids cherries for crazy money. I said 'just take the kids in the store and leave them walk around eating the cherries and pay for a couple when you leave' ๐. Have to be careful when out shopping thesedays, always check prices..
Problem is also here in Australia the government doesn't factor a lot of things into their inflation calcs. Like cars and houses etc..so their bullshit low figure isn't real inflation. My house has gone up nearly $300k since covid started which is crazy. It just means the divide is getting bigger and people have to borrow more, rents rise as investors raise them to cover extra money borrowed. There will be far more homeless people in the future, its already happening, we'll end up with tent streets like in the US.
Like many countries Australian government debt is in its trillions, and household debt is massive also. Question is how much longer can it go on and the debt pile up? It will have to be paid back someday?
Anyway we'll see how it all pans out, hope members here don't get in debt or trouble with art, crypto or NFTs ๐

The housing market is bollocks. I vote we tax the house equity. If it goes up 5% in a year we pay 2% in tax.
(Don't ask me for detail as I haven't really thought it through yet)

Are you proposing 2% of 5% or 40% of the gain? Either way your new application of CGT might prove tricky as a vote winner.
But I feel a policy being developed as we speak.
Bren for PM! Tax the rich! And the fat! Parties every friday

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by bob60 on Mar 19, 2022 6:58:39 GMT 1, Same talk on the Rolex forums where SS models are doing stupid money. I honestly can't see either 'crashing'. Which Rolex forum is that please? I am looking to sell my Rolex and not sure how to go about it.

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by sandinista on Mar 21, 2022 14:25:41 GMT 1, Some good posts and yes I had to have a word with the wife, the other day she bought the kids cherries for crazy money. Anyway we'll see how it all pans out, hope members here don't get in debt or trouble with art, crypto or NFTs ๐ The housing market is bollocks. I vote we tax the house equity. If it goes up 5% in a year we pay 2% in tax. (Don't ask me for detail as I haven't really thought it through yet) Vote for me! Take back all the empty second properties and let the ukraine refugees move in. Could fit quite a few families in an oligarchs mansion. But the benefit rate might need to be adjusted if housing them in belgravia.

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on May 6, 2022 1:16:39 GMT 1, We are now in May. Been a few months since we talked about inflation.. How is it going in your Country? Well everything is stilling going up in price!!
Here in Australia, following US, UK and other countries we have raised interest rates and a lot more predicted which will cause some pain. My parents said how much electricity, gas and water have gone up back in UK, I was shocked.. Hasn't reached Australia yet but prices will probably follow and go up shortly?.
I think purchasing assets will now slow down quickly and people are/will be starting to tighten up in 2022/23.
How many years is this going to last? We have this terrible war going on (could last years?), China in lockdown (affecting supply chains) and talk from US of global recession. Oof

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by withnail69 on May 9, 2022 14:04:42 GMT 1, Historically during inflation time prices of oil, gas, metals and other commodities had risen. Luxury watches like rolex and audemars piguet has already risen too. Now the value of rare coins and comic books has risen by about 20%, while baseball cards are up 15% to 40%, to name a few categories. Soon after crypto hype i guess Banksy value will rise another 60-80 percent in 2 years period. Because banksy is Picasso of 21st century you wonโt find any better artist alive. 100% wrong I'm afraid

These sales do seem to have gone pretty badly though. But then as you say, no real effort to promote them from what ive seen. I think they are getting lazy and relying only on the pre existing clients now and saving the budget. my worthless 2c

Banksy Prices Up or Down?, by withnail69 on Sept 21, 2022 13:08:51 GMT 1, A lot of uncertainty maybe or perhaps people have had enough of the never ending PC nonsense. Bit of both I suspect. Why new COA are required I'll never know.. More ยฃยฃยฃยฃ to be made I guess. I think this is the first Bi-annual auction house sale I have seen without a GWB being sold in several years.. My lacklastre sale is still the one being quoted on www.banksy-value.com/
