And it will sit there because the seller is insanely shady and insists on cash or bank transfer only for a ยฃ3k piece. I gave up on dealing with him and I live 15 minutes away. DO NOT buy from him.

As of today, there are 23 Invader Heni editions for sale on ebay. About half of it are Marilyns.
They are today the hardest to sell with a good price as offer remains strong.
My understanding of market is that you can get one for arround 5k.
A Country Life is currently auctionned on Catawiki . 3 days remaining and it is a 3,7kโฌ + fees (9%). To me, sales on Catawiki are often a good indicator of market state for an edition. Will post the result

Yes for sure but do you think that it changes (in fact increases) the average price of selected items, as an invader edition you can also find on ebay? Perhaps. But I also bought things on Catawiki under their value. The reason was more that Catawiki was not the right place to sell them : French known artists not known abroad do not sell well on catawiki and I am Happy with that. As always, you need the right place for the right thing to sell wellโฆ |

Perhaps lack of experience or reading. So I guess I have to explain it to you. In this case it is nice for two reasons :
1) to shows that initial price (6 months ago) is below todayโs baseline. There is no doubt about it if you take into account other known sales. It is the first test to understand the interest of collectors
2) 50% premium vs. price at release is nice, after only 6 months. It is not crazy, just nice.
I understand some here prefer casino game : if it has not doubled or tripled overday it is a failure. But this should not exist. True galleries and collectors do not like this. And there is a good reason for that.
Last thing, for one or two years we will still be in a situation where there is good supply on eBay. It wonโt last forever. When this comes to an end, this can only strenghten these results
