Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by mred on Jul 12, 2008 13:48:05 GMT 1, I'll second Slammer's recommendation, Niche is now my framer of choice. Agree about price but do not forgot to haggle, if you are lucky and use them regularly they normally give a bit of a discount worth having if you start to use conservation glass.
Advice and quality of framing also normally good so what more could you want.

P.S. Any niche regulars on here seen notice about art works at owners risk and if valuable should be insured by owner. Is this new or have I just missed it in the past? Was wondering if it was may be a response to increase in print prices.

I have used this guy, can't remember the name. I didn't go back, took him 3 weeks to frame my Morons print, he was just going to take it off me, but I insisted he kept it in the Mylar sleeve from my portfolio or he would have just left it uncovered on the shelf. Messy shop too, didn't fill me with confidence.
After using various framers in Bristol. Niche are the only ones who will get their hands on my prints now. They are fantastic, and treat everything as if they own it themselves.

I once had a frame that was very slightly out of shape and without hesitation they replaced it.

Many of you will already know Steve from his days at Niche in Stokes Croft in Bristol.
He has now branched out on his own and opened a new business.
For years Steve has framed the work that we collect, he understands how to look after your work and takes care of it as if it were his own.Steve was the ONLY person I trusted to frame my work when it needed doing.

Steve is most definatly not miserable mate,I've spent a good few hours with him getting things just right, always no trouble to spend time to make sure I was happy.
Can honestly say I've never heard ( or had ) a bad word said about the fella or his work.
