Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by mred on Dec 6, 2008 12:33:24 GMT 1, Just been over to see Steve at his new workshop in Bath, looks like he has got himself a nice set up and as normal always happy to work through ideas to get a great framing solution.
The piece he is framing this time is a picture a friend did quite a while ago but I never got round to framing. Piece a bit bashed up but Steve came up with a great solution which will display the piece warts and all. Gone for a box frame, which he is going to paint up to pick up on one of the colours in the picture, and he is going to float mount piece to display warts and all. Even though piece not valuable as normal he is going to use conservation glues etc to ensure piece is preserved in it current state.
For those who have not given him a try, I can highly recommend his work based on today's visit plus the large number of pieces he framed for me when working at Niche. That is before you even take into account the great price and timescales he offered.
Will post pictures when I get piece back.

Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by mred on Dec 15, 2008 20:48:41 GMT 1, Picked piece up on Saturday but with the flu only just got around to unwrapping and putting on the wall.
As expected Steve has done a stunning job, matched well frame colour to grey in picture as well as inner of frame to match mounting board. Float mount looks great in the flesh. Really pleased with overall effect. As normal my photographic skills do not do framing or picture justice.
If you need a framer in Bath or Bristol area give him a try.

Excuse the photos!
After following the advice from this thread took some bits to Steve. I'm made up with the framing, well chuffed. Excellent service, good price and Steve certainly knows his Apples.
And as for "MiseryGate",well, its either the wrong bloke or just a case of Plain Bol lox!

Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by Hugs on Dec 17, 2008 10:23:01 GMT 1, This thread gives me much pleasure ! Steve is doing you boys a fine job by the look of things ! Shame Brisbane is sooo far away from Bristol !
Mr Ed and all Bristol heads...wishing you all a very very merry Christmas and all the very best for 09.
Keep supporting the miserable old sod as he does indeed know his apples.
For those that are yet to meet him, just ask him to put the kettle on and sit and chat to one of the finest framers and SKILLED men you'll ever trust with your work.
Peace
Ian

Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by BONZO on Dec 17, 2008 13:02:28 GMT 1, They look great Tickz (and Mred!), and I have to agree about Miserable? Steve - I dropped my scuba horse down to him on Saturday and he asked if it was alright to trim a little off each side to fit it in the plan chest... I told him to just fold it in half instead... Funny Fukker!! ;D ;D

Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by viperuk on Jan 10, 2009 14:59:48 GMT 1, Just got my Nola today from Steve. Its the first time I have used Frontier Framers (on recommendation from the forum) and have to say the quality of the work, price and exceptional service is just fantastic.
I would recommend to everyone in the local area to approach Steve as his knowledge is second to none.
Well done Steve of the great service :-)

Will also throw my hat in and recommend Steve. Top bloke.

Framers in BRISTOL / BATH ๐ฌ๐ง Who do you Recommend? , by jellya on Feb 19, 2009 12:25:03 GMT 1, Just got my Xenz from Steve and I am dead chuffed with the result.
I've been over three times to see him this month and the service and attention he gives to you and your art is second to none. Great quality framing from a very knowledgeable guy. Competitive, sensible prices too.
If you're in the Bristol/Bath area or further afield (my mates came over from Reading!) I would definitely look him up.
He's now got my prized Slinkachus to frame up
