I've gone down a rabbit hole about framing. I looked at guild of master framers and there is one where I live but when I spoke to him about Japanese hinges and reversible pasting techniques he just looked at me funny! He uses ph neutral reversable tape....needless to say I didn't like that.

Worth a try I guess...deffo need fully reversible archival museum shizzle as the print won't ever be sold.

Some might call me crazy but i have decided to set up a picture framing workshop in Montpelier, Bristol.

I have been in the industry for nearly a decade. Some standout pieces I have had pleasure of framing include original Basquiats, Harings, Hambletons, Catalans, Kaws and of course countless Banksys to name but a few. Previous clients include Steve Lazarides (i framed many of the pieces he included in his emporium, along with a number of items in his private collection), Sothebys, Bonhams, and 10 Downing Street.

I am operating on an appointment only basis, you can come into the workshop yourself or i can bring some frame samples to you depending on your location. I can serve anywhere along the M4 between swindon and bristol.

Framing wise, i mostly work with raw woods opting to use hand finishing techniques such as hand painting, waxing and staining, but i do stock a few factory finished mouldings for those on a tighter budget. I frame everything to a conservation level.
