Its a lot of scum bags co-ordinating where they are goiing to rob next using their Blackberrys and iphones, ''liberated'' no doubt from some poor bast**d they manged to mug. They are not rioting over a shortage of food, they are rioting so they can hit the local electrical store and resupply on plasma tv's, oh and then torch the place once its been emptied. No doubt those pieces of sh1t who have attacked the paramedics as they try to help the injured, will be crying and bleating for treatment tonight after being (hopefully) beaten over the head with a heavy police trunchon (again hopefully) several times. They burn down the neighbourhood shops and then bleat that their is nowhere to shop or get a job. My contempt for them knows no bounds. My feelings for those who try and blame Government/ Police action/ Social deprevation/ anyone else (please delete as applicable) for the actions of these animals are the same.

Watched for quite a while last night on the BBC. Worst part for me was hearing the now homeless asking officials, there for a photo opp, why the fire dept didn't show up and why they were not protected by the police as their homes were burned down....

I think a lot of people are giving most of the rioters too much credit by saying it is organised. It is opportunistic and idiotic. Done by a lot of young people who do not feel part of a community or feel they have a voice. No excuses for their behaviour but there is more than one reason for it. It is not simply that these are just greedy people only after more "bling". Plenty of social, political and economic factors influence this.
A lot of the rioters actions are similar to members of the Bullingdon Club (destruction and vandalism for "fun"), but the London rioters do not have rich parents or connections like Cameron and Boris did to buy them out of a police caution or arrest.

The only problem with that argument is that the human rights act applies to the whole of europe.... Yet it is just this country rioting

So the question is this... if it is quite simply being nasty that is the reason why people riot, why do we have so many nasty people in this country?... although you don't call them people you call them animals of course.
Are we just letting nasty people in to this country... that other countries don't let in?
Or perhaps we have some system of making lots of young people nasty in a way that other countries don't... but of course that can't be true because that would suggest a reason beyond simple nastiness.

It is interesting to note that the most social cohesion is generally exhibited by a smaller gap between rich and poor... e.g. the nordic countries... very low crime... but anyway as you say that has nothing to do with it
So that brings us back to the central conundrum

Tempting, but you can bet the 'Old Bill' will be more ruthless with this element - a much easier target to nick.

IMHO this is exactly the type of mollycoddling, soft-pedalling apologism that, over successive generations, has been a direct influence on these thieving animals believing they have a 'right' to make themselves heard in this way.
