Other point made is totally valid too, people still prefer Penguins and so atm you can still get some of them for below the price of this Ace print, which is much more of a 'marmite' image.
Don't want to derail any possible sales for Tommy though, so will add that colours on small version are very vibrant in the flesh and these pics don't do it justice. Good luck with the sale...
There is a reason why you can still buy them from source. Yeah it's called tiered pricing IMHO. Manifold quality is second to none, but once their Harland Millers prints have sold 20 or 30 of the edition they are normally much cheaper to buy on secondary market than source. Jumps are couple of grand each time which is lot of money to a lot of buyers. Agreed I thought it all looked about right pricewise......Toxic Mary for 17k + Fees & Coloured Trolleys 17.5k is about as cheap as you will get a signed Banksy at auction these days I guess?
From watching a fair chunk of the auction it struck me that the big, more expensive lots held their own whilst the cheaper stuff, where perhaps lower earning people might normally bid with spare cash, struggled and a lot of lots didn't make the estimate and were unsold. I'm talking things costing 1-3k like Hirst prints. Perhaps a sign of things to come...

Earlier they had emailed when I queried saying they were making new COAs, this wasn't really relevant to me as I didn't need one so think the person got mixed up, but that might explain the delays for some people like yourself Bert.
If you applied in October on my timeline you could be waiting a few more months yet....

It also doesn't have his name on the author bit (which again some people like I think in the classic style).
Previous sales of Rags at Phillips before today have been £8125 a year ago and £12,500 and £15,625 in 2018 so I would say today's sale is decent enough without being outstanding/shocking.

Just quick one to say if someone was close to buying 'FREE' or wanted it but couldn't quite stretch to the discounted price of £2800 we might be able to help each other out.
I've got a copy at home in London that is not going to get framed or make the wall anytime soon so I would be willing to let it go for less than my cost, and ideally agree a sale and delivery in mid-December when I'm back. PMs are open if anyone fancies it, and I'll give 10% of any deal to Save The Children too. Cheers!

A couple of possible confirmed emails - GREAT- but most likely a load going out tomorrow which will be about a week after brilliant Croydon show finished so would make sense, and we probably have the rest of the coming week to pay and then we will get to see pics of anything that anyone on here manages to get! All going to be great fun and if I get something that will be great. If I don't, I got down to Croydon and loved the show and got some great pics.
Try not to stress out and just think if you get something it's a massive bonus : )
