One of my first issues with the whole media situation is they say an 'unarmed black teen' was murdered. Well that teen was 6'4, 300lbs who just robbed a store and then while with the cop broke his orbital bone in his face so the cop took the appropriate use of force he determined necessary to subdue the threat / save his life.

I seem to have missed the bit about the cops broken face. but to be fair, I've had my face smashed up a few times over the years, never felt the need to shot and kill someone for it though. Just seems like oooooh lets think, "fucking demented" to me. I guess you see it as a rational response, which is my previous point about letting violence and/or guns run through your psyche.

That's why you don't see as much gun violence in other countries. And unfortunately, that appears to be what happened in his case (as well as the second man getting killed in Ferguson last week)

For everyone reading this if you haven't watched the video on white Privilege that was posted earlier in this thread in its entirety then you are missing out. It is hard to have a meaningful, informed conversation on the topic when people don't understand the basic dynamics in play. Wearology you seem like a great guy but you are missing some important perspective on this one. Checkout the video.

There is a big difference between white on black crime than black on black or black on black etc. because of the relative power in our society. It becomes that much worse when it is a police officer or other person in a position of power and responsibility.
