I'm a radio 6 fanatic ... But as good as all the djs are on rad 6... No one will replace john peel... ! The word legend is over used .. but always appropriate in the context of Peelie.

Yes, of course it still works. Nice crackly sound.
The record you can just see between the hifi and the speaker was the last think to be played on it. Never mind the bollocks.
As a testament to how old I am, my iPhone doesn't recognise hifi and wants to change it to Heidi. I really must be out of touch!!

There's the occasional bit of dialogue but not enough because as you say it was his 'ramblings' that were just as good if not better than some of the music he played. |

Hi I hope you don't mind me saying this, but since you have clearly taken the care and time to set up your hi-fi so I assume you do care about the sound quality, I must mention that setting up speakers at a corner is in general a very bad idea acoustically. |

Good feedback guys. This is not the final position of the speakers. The guy who sold me the speakers supplied me cables for free at 1.5m!!! I am sourcing cables the correct length to allow more separation.
The turntable is on an acoustic platform that I bought from a local dealer who had this in stock and I have order a second shelf to set the stereo amp on. The table I like and its very heavy but I might end up put spikes on the legs. If not I will source a solid block 2ft tall of granite or wood.
