what do you mean play any song? where are the songs held? On the Sonos? I'd like something that has every song on it

To be fair I kind of agree (the good old days reading the sleeve notes) but its only a bit like a library you borrow the book read it take it back, if you want it again its still there so you donโt own it but its always at your fingertips, I know that there are issues with what the artist gets paid but to be honest thatโs for clever people to sort out

+1 for Sonos, a nice feature is that its possible to tap the digital signal to a dac of a higher quality.
Regarding speakers - there is IMHO nothing that is better than high-sensitive speakers, i.e. horns!
A pic from my previous place, still have the same speakers, but the electronics have changed a bit..

I have a unitiqute & I'll be honest I hate the fucking thing. Love the sound quality but the front end app is clunky and difficult to navigate. For instance if I were to ask my gf to put a tune on there's a high chance she'd throw my phone through the window before she could make the bastard thing work. Oh and don't get me started on the instability of the connection. Hard wired to my lappy running Asset Upnp. Is it worth swapping for a mu-so (shit name) or do I chip in for a Sonos?

I have an unitiqute before as well and playback was smooth. But I have to admit I never am able to play higher res radio on it without dropping out. The mu-so works extremely well - highly recommended if cables and big components are not your thing.

Show us your HIFI System, by easycraig on Jun 16, 2016 18:16:53 GMT 1, Sound quality is surprising good for something this old. The HH Scott amp needs some internal cleaning (its a bit scratchy) , I plan to open it up over the next few weeks and give it the once over twice. As for the turntable, when i found her, i cleaned her up and just put a new needle on, nothing fancy as this was put together for fun so I could listen to records in the playhouse. The turntable itself is a tank, really heavy and a workhorse, you can throw a long spindle on there and it will play 10 records in a row, fully automatic or manual. What's funny is I go out there (to the playhouse) all the time just for a different listening experience. My speakers are sound windows as I had to go with something relatively thin, so I could incorporate them into my elbow toe piece, without detracting from the decor. I built and painted some boxes to cover the speakers.... great little hobby. ec
