As in larger? I have the 27x41 and the thing is huge! Heavy too. There are a few other threads on here that reference different brands, check them out!

I mean, a print that's 41 length is usually going to have a width greater than 27 inches. I would have loved to see something around 41x33 or 41x35

does buffered or unbuffered tissue paper matter when storing screenprints? Unbuffered is the smarter choice as it does not react with natural dyes and pigments. It's typically more expensive, but safer. Glassine is also a fine option and usually cheaper than unbuffered tissue paper. Dartek is a third option, but quite expensive. |

If one does not have room for a flat file, another option is using solander boxes. They can be quite expensive, but they are archival and easy to move/store. In addition to a solander box, I like to cut archival print folders to fit the inside of the box which hold individual prints. The prints are wrapped in a glassine slip, put in a folder and then stacked in the solander box. I also recommend the print folders for anyone using a flat file with a sizable collection. Both solander boxes and the print folders are designed in a clamshell design which makes it easy and safe to maneuver prints in and out.
There are many advantages to using print folders. When you create a standard size folder, the weight of the folder distributes evenly when stacked putting minimal pressure points on the prints below. In addition, it's safer to handle the folder which extends farther than the print when pulling them out of awkward places (ie. in a flat file or box or whatever method you devise for storage). Lastly, it is aesthetically pleasing and nice to label them independently. I know this all seems a bit excessive, and it may in fact be, but from my professional experience, this is the proper way for long term storage of works on paper.

I got back into collecting late last year and have quickly outstretched my wall space, however have not slowed down on collecting.
I wanted to store my prints that donโt make the wall flat therefore wanted advice on some options.
I have seen racks used in some galleries however they wouldnโt work in my current space. Therefore am looking at folder/portfolio options with acid free sleeves to best preserve my prints. I would like something that can accommodate my small to large prints (largest print I currently own is Dface โrun awayโ)
Can members on the forum please advise of a suitable folder type option and whether it is even a viable option to preserve my prints flat? Any links to a product would also be much appreciated.

You're welcome, it's not cheap, but it's of pretty good quality and this type of large format is not standard like an 18 x 24 itoya for example, which explains the high price. good research to you

Buy two full, or half if that's all you need, sheets of acid-free foam board, and a package of large acid free tissue paper.
Pick two edges of the foam board and use duct or painters tape to create a hinge. Then simply place works/prints into the created "storage wallet", with tissue between each.
This allows safe storage for prints of all sizes, including very large ones, up to a full sheet in size.
I've used multiple versions of this plan for many years and it works surprisingly well. (Obviously, it's much better suited for stationary home storage, and not transport. Although I have transported prints safely using this structure.)
