I'll add mine after work ;D Actually, here's a taster and something for those who know what i look like to laugh at
LOL!! More please!

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by insite on Sept 28, 2007 10:45:58 GMT 1, Sorry didn't read the first post properly and did the kid thing so I'm going to have another go.
The things which define me as a person would have too be those things which I created, there's a peace to be found in working with your hands and the creative areas of the brain which I don't get anywhere else. Over the years I've done many things, carved, sculpted, drawn a bit, made films, taken photos, taught myself carpentry and built wooden structures, loads of different things (I suspect a touch of ADHD ) so I find it quite hard to pin down one thing. This therefore was my latest "creation" made for a couple of mates who got wed a few weeks back, colour scheme and design created for this job, well kinda made up as I went along but it seemed to work ;D.

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by slacker on Sept 28, 2007 11:31:44 GMT 1, doing a kiteloop...
if you are wondering then it is one of these (not me in the vid):
haven't been out for almost a year now (children bring responsibilities my wife keeps telling me) so i'm pretty certain that i wouldn't be able to do one any more.
edit: and responsibilities also involved giving up smoking. smoked over 20 a day but went cold turkey on 27 february 2006 and aint had one since. unbelievably the temptation is still there for some reason though

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by corblimeylimey on Sept 28, 2007 12:40:42 GMT 1, Either giving up smoking (30 a day habit) - never thought I'd manage that, was sure it was going to kill me one day. (been 3 years since I last smoked) Or finishing refurbishing my place, after two and a half years spending every weekend gutting and rebuilding the place, all new plumbing, new electrics, new bathroom, new kitchen....basically everything. Me and the GF (and my Dad on his weekends off....from being a builder on a Busmans holiday LOL) knocked our bollocks off doing that. The only things we had people in for were an Electrician to change the Consumer Unit and electrics in the Bathroom and a firm to supply and fit the marble Fireplace. Love it.
You've got the same sink & bath we chose when we had our kitchen and bathroom gutted last year.

All made out of MDF (without wearing a mask so probably taken 10 years off my life!) F****ing awesome. I know how much work went into that. +1 from me for the effort and dedication. p.s mdf is right bugger for the lungs as you know....wear a mask kids...

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by uksnowman on Sept 28, 2007 14:01:05 GMT 1, Has to be riding my BMX Raleigh Burner (the blue one with yellow plastic wheels) up Whinlatter Pass in the Lake District when I was 9. Over a thousand feet with only one gear, although my dad had to push me a bit up one of the hard bits!
A close second was beating all the other kids in the area at keep me ups (or kickups as we called em up north). Think I managed 320 while I was still at Junior school.
I've done a few significant things since then, but it's mostly boring adult stuff..
