That's not sad, I know how you feel Ray, and Mrs CBL you wouldn't be with me now if I hadn't got the divorce.

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by curiousgeorge on Oct 1, 2007 19:50:45 GMT 1, Thank you everyone for the kind words and pm's
These will mean more than many people could understand, for me it does not rest easy with me, people saying i humbled them
However i have been humbled by the replies, today/this weekend could well be the turning point for me.Don't say you didn't have fair warning, i could become my obnoxious former self Heck i might even ditch the comfort food and try to get back into shape..
Couple of before and after pics, the first one is edited as it was for another forum a long time ago where i wanted to look like that
P.S Yes the surgeons hands really did fit inside that 'pocket'
Thanks again a few small words made a big difference to someone today

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by a4mnt on Oct 1, 2007 23:19:41 GMT 1, I think everyone who has 'opened up' on here to what is generally a bunch of strangers should be pretty proud of themselves all round.
Wish it was always this easy to meet and have interesting discussions with people.
Some people might find being glued to a forum every day as being quite sad, but I'm really glad I'm lucky enough to be part of this one.

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by RetroCanvas on Oct 1, 2007 23:26:53 GMT 1, Agreed,
I'm not really a forum goer and I would have said it was quite sad too. But I've spent many enjoying hours chatting here and reading about other art worlds to people I've never met. It's quite strange how it feels so friendly.
Silky's proud of his creation and so he should be!

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by pezlow on Oct 2, 2007 7:01:20 GMT 1, Just read through this entire thread. Some very moving stories on here - Johnas and George - well done for getting to where you are now and good luck for the future. This forum is a great place. It does seem very odd to think that you can chat this way with virtual strangers.

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by headphonesex on Oct 4, 2007 13:29:39 GMT 1, After all the Detroit Techno chat I ended up putting a mix together last night. It's for another website but thought i'd post the link up here. Quite a variety of the old & the new... with splashes of techno, house & electro from the motor city. There's a few slightly iffy mixes (particularly towards the end) but it holds together alright I think.

What's your proudest non art achievement?, by lesbianwednesdays on Oct 4, 2007 14:25:35 GMT 1, not bad company curley.
when i was at school i warmed up for dj dougal once and brisk another time at a monthly club night in canterbury. shame it was hardcore but for a teenager it weren't too shabby. and i'm sure plenty of others have had equally embarrassing tastes in music at various points in their life?

Was DJ Dougal one of the DJ's on the Bonkers CD's. I used to have all of the Bonkers CD's. Shooting Star by Bang was a ledgendry track. Those were the days - Kappa poppers, ellesse trainers, bacardi breezers, two packs of fags a day and terrorsing old ladies! ;D I'm glad I grew out of that.
