FAKE STIK LA2 been pushed around, stay well clear , by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 11:12:48 GMT 1, Well, ryca_artist claims it is legit. Ps: Won't reply to any answers , just thought this belonged here. Lol thats ok then. Probably going to work out fine as long as the printer backs it. Good luck to anyone rellying on a printer over the artist, genius move. RYCA seems to have lost his mind and decided he is in charge of STIk authentication. That wont really help anyone. Good luck if youve been buying anything on that poor advice, youll be needing it. Many people are still waiting for your pal Stik to reply to polite authentication requests that he continues to ignore for years. He’s probably the best source for print authentication. We have to wonder why he continues to just accumulate information on the works out there and then ignore collectors afterwards.

Damien Hirst - The Archangels, by Poster Bob on Mar 1, 2024 13:39:59 GMT 1, It’s not “down”, more likely, someone found this page and they didn’t intend to release these until the summer at the earliest.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Poster Bob on Mar 1, 2024 12:51:49 GMT 1, You are very unlikely to obtain offers when your asking price is astronomically high, at this time, at least 50% higher than the market price on a good day. You’re asking more for 3 than someone sold 5 for.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Poster Bob on Mar 1, 2024 12:38:04 GMT 1, I have the following 3 Empress pieces for sale, H10-3 Theodora H10-1 - Wu Zetian H10-4 Suiko Asking £8,825 for three plus shipping. Open to offers. It doesn’t feel like you did any research on current prices before you made this post. I’d advise that you do so, or be prepared to hold onto them for a long time before you can achieve such a sum.

Harland Miller • Who Cares Wins Print, by Poster Bob on Feb 22, 2024 11:56:44 GMT 1, Ok, where to start. So if this was priced at 120k, would you be writing..."I can't believe these are 120k now"? People can ask whatever they want. Selling is a different thing. Ps. I have one, but I'm also in the real world. PPs. If a single person on here is willing to pay 12k please DM me. . If anyone is looking to get rid and is pricing sensibly please DM me. I am also open to swaps so maybe you can trade to something a bit more liquid.. DM's open like I said. Define “sensibly

Damien Hirst Secret Garden Painting Print release, by Poster Bob on Feb 14, 2024 15:23:05 GMT 1, Where the land meets the sea - ugly drop yet selling at almost +50% on secondary only 3 days ago. For sure we will see minimum 2x on these secret garden ones that are way more relatable to the mainstream. Sorry some of you sulkers missed out…. WOW - that is a great sale. I see the seller was from the UK and not the US. The release price from Heni was $3,500, which works out at £2,800. Then there is 20% vat @ £560 = £3,360 plus approx £60 for delivery, so the total cost for the seller was £3,420. This was a sale on eBay UK, so as this sold for £3,950, the eBay UK fee is £505.90, which means the buyer gets £3,440.10. The seller made a profit of £24.10. 😉You’re right - I am gutted to have missed out. I would have assumed that the seller, like anyone in their right mind, only lists items when offered a 70% (or more) off of fees promotion. If you combine that, with the maximum fee cap of £250, you can assume that they only paid £75 in fees if the item sold for the full asking price.

Harland Miller Hate's Outta Date • 2017 & 2022, by Poster Bob on Feb 14, 2024 15:03:59 GMT 1, Wow, his market really has gone soft thanks to all the copycat artists doing Penguins. We’re all waiting with bated breath to hear your detailed analysis which breaks down the additional percentage decrease in Miller’s market due to copycats, against the changes in the market base overall. It’s going to be riveting.

Damien Hirst Secret Garden Painting Print release, by Poster Bob on Feb 14, 2024 14:59:17 GMT 1, Where the land meets the sea - ugly drop yet selling at almost +50% on secondary only 3 days ago. For sure we will see minimum 2x on these secret garden ones that are way more relatable to the mainstream. Sorry some of you sulkers missed out…. Sorry some of you posters selectively, instead of systematically review auction results. A bloodbath on Artnet, and on eBay: unsold Woody Bay; unsold Blizzard; unsold Studland Bay; £3.95k for a Studland Bay; unsold Kynance; unsold Kynance; unsold Woody Bay; unsold Blizzard; unsold Studland Bay; unsold Kynance; unsold Kingsdown Beach; £2.75k for Mill Bay; unsold Kynance; unsold Woody Bay; unsold Blizzard; unsold Studland; unsold Woody Bay; unsold Mill Bay; unsold Kynance; unsold Blizzard; unsold Kingsdown Beach; unsold Studland; unsold Woody Bay: unsold Mill Bay; unsold Kynance; unsold Blizzard; unsold Kingsdown Beach; unsold Studland; and unsold Woody Bay.
Thumbs up on examining all of the evidence and providing the necessary background and caveats. I’d normally provide some to the above, but with this audience it’s mostly a waste of time.

Hilary Pecis , by Poster Bob on Feb 9, 2024 10:45:32 GMT 1, Their standard model is to tier with the price lowest at the dinner ($6,500), then higher for the first public tranche ($7,500), which quickly jumps again ($10,000), and as a result (especially in this market), doesn’t sell out ($12,500). As others have mentioned, the print appears odd, it’s not the best representation of her work, and the price is high for the image. I don’t waste time inquiring about their party releases and advise that no one else does.

Visit LONDON 🏴 Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Poster Bob on Feb 7, 2024 23:31:22 GMT 1, Gormley is closed, Capturing the Moment at Tate is a must-see, and Synchronicity at 180 Studios is recommended. The Kruger at Serpentine seems interesting based on what I’ve seen on social media, but I have yet to go.

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by Poster Bob on Jan 19, 2024 16:45:17 GMT 1, The Nava edition looks quite nice. I’ll do the usual: apply; maybe get an email about it that doesn’t go anywhere; and then not receive an allocation.

Shrigley - I Think About Football, by Poster Bob on Jan 19, 2024 11:53:43 GMT 1, The email they sent out said they were for sale from Wednesday onwards. The stand was there with the print on the Tuesday but they don’t want to sell on the preview day for whatever reason. If they had there were lots of people prepared to buy who weren’t there on the Wednesday. I guess they worry the trade are going to buy them up but they’re also excluding lots of people who aren’t trade. When they release prints at fairs on VIP days they tend to be purchased by dealers. You can view this evidence on their Instagram when they’ve posted pictures of the people in line. They clearly stated in the email that they were available from Wednesday.

Shrigley - I Think About Football, by Poster Bob on Jan 18, 2024 16:01:00 GMT 1, Plenty of people would have bought one on the Tuesday but Jealous wanted them to go to ‘real’ collectors so wouldn’t sell them. They like to create a queue and a sell-out which hasn’t worked out this time which is a real shame 😊 The email they sent out said they were for sale from Wednesday onwards.

Liu Ye | Damien Hirst | Bridget Riley For Sale, by Poster Bob on Jan 12, 2024 13:22:27 GMT 1, There’s a Fruitful on EBay which ends in 18 minutes for just £700. A buy-it-now is also available for £730, and the last two sales on EBay, during the worst time of the year were just £570. Asking £1,000 on this forum, where people know how to search EBay, is a bit much.

Hirst - Gormley - Pejac and more!, by Poster Bob on Jan 12, 2024 12:23:56 GMT 1, I don’t see any deals here, with all prices well above the current market and in excess of current forum listings. The Hirst set can be obtained for £12k here, and is not selling. The UPs are routinely trading for £4k. Perhaps you’d like to amend the subject line and post.

FAKE STIK LA2 been pushed around, stay well clear , by Poster Bob on Dec 7, 2023 15:44:53 GMT 1, no i dont, but if i did i would be worried if he decided all of a sudden he did not make it. Only buy legit things then. If the artist says its not his, thats an end of it. you just want to take someone elses word for its authenticity, even though the artist says its NOT LEGIT, thats just stupid. Wrap it up in whatever bollox you want mate, the artist is the only true authenticator, the only true owner of the images and the only person who decides what is legit and what is not. And this piece, IS NOT. For authentication, go to STIK and only STIK, the word of someone else is worth NOTHING here. These are art collector lesson one things FR. It is my experience and the experience of others, that Stik ignores authentication requests or just responds with “where did you buy it, and when” and then ignores all further replies. I find your replies frustrating as you’re presenting his team as the end-all, be-all when it comes to authentication, when we know otherwise. Unissued prints are however different, if the artist had never intended them to be for sale they’re not part of his catalog. Stik’s overall behavior makes us question his actions, and rightly so. The presentation of a full back story could alleviate these concerns, along with a promise to go through all of those ignored emails and to provide replies.

Selling no copies of an edition is a rough reminder of the current market, and artists and galleries refusing to adjust prices accordingly. Sad, but it’s a poor image, too small, and expensive (even though it is hand-finished). [Edit: 5 sold now]

Adam Pendleton 2023 New Prints, by Poster Bob on Oct 28, 2023 10:18:59 GMT 1, I think it's fairly priced. The larger Pace editions were $20-25k and they flew. His last print / collage did well. That result seems odd - wish I bought it. The first auction was a benefit, and two years ago, the results of which should always be ignored as they’re always outliers in the positive range. The second was over a year ago, and we all know how different things were then. I would never want to generalize from a single data point, but unfortunately that’s all we have in terms of recency. Only buy if you want to hold it for several years.

Adam Pendleton 2023 New Prints, by Poster Bob on Oct 27, 2023 14:28:40 GMT 1, It’s overpriced if we consider an out-of-season sale of an item with similar limitation, size, and image. I think it’s safe to assume that out-of-season sales from the beginning of this year are higher than most in-season, current sales: www.phillips.com/detail/adam-pendleton/UK030123/289
Assume that you’re throwing $2k into the trash by buying it. (This generalization is based solely on sales at Phillips as I’m too busy to look up sales at other houses)
