The Jungle in Calais, by Deleted on Sept 25, 2016 21:45:28 GMT 1, I notice many posts now on threads like this include a few insults targeted personally at those with differing views in an attempt to silence them. All subjects should be able to be discussed sensibly and with respect to all views without any kind of abuse. Hello, and let me start by stating that you are wrong again - No one is silenced -. In fact you and Blanksky (Blank as in white? Fits his thoughts) are the only two people calling for people to be quiet when people don't share the same views as your own. Clearly you and Adolf (i don't know his real name and i don't like his White name so i picked this for now) are mates, but that doesn't make his views and posts acceptable. The manner he talks about this situation is beyond me. He doesn't show respect nor does he share sensible views, just purposely hurtful ones. And i know for a fact that he loves the situation created. If that is alright in your book that would clear things up a lot but would also mean that this forum is in thes**t and it lost it's ability to discuss and enjoy art together. - True Shame! - In addition i find it strange for someone collecting and admiring art from an artist who clearly does not share Adolfs views. We don't know much about B but he clearly is an artist who tries his best to help the less fortunate and in this case tries to get some attention/help/money/food to the refugees in Calais. Adolf clearly is not and would like to do the exact opposite. Let's not help them and make them have it worse here than home. That will make them leave Calais and seek help elsewhere but not here. That leaves me with a question - why would he admire an artist who would probably hates his views? - The only reason i can come up with is that he is here for investing his money and trade for profit. And if that is the main reason to be here then bugger off to eBay. He contributes nothing to the forum except uses it to vents his hatred. If that is not the reason than it is beyond me why he is here. - I realise i might gone a little overboard (for some) whit the Adolf part, but i take it Blanksky wouldn't mind so no harm in that i also figured. - I said my peace Hahaha
BTW you should really use your original nickname instead of hiding behind a random nick. It's one thing to talk all the bs you talk but doing it anon while claiming to know who I am (? I have sold one item of art in my life and the rest lives on my walls) is too sad
As soon as I figure out how to put people on ignore I will by the way

Today is a great date for refugees, us, and what s about humanity ( became and becomes ) in our 21 century ... In refugees, don't forget " refuge ". Only a word, but a roof too. I hope that all will be alright, with no fight ( black blocks are there in Calais - why are they there ? I have nothing against them, at the contrary , but why to come in a tiny situation, to make provocation maybe with cops : there are families and kids there, Syrian does not care about anarchy or their fight, they ( BB ) should better wait the next NATO congress ! Anyway, I hope that all will be in the calm and peaceful , and that will stop Nationalisms minds growing in the dickheads as bad grass along the roads... I hope that some will be on the way to UK and that they will accept them ( it is really an administrative mess and only 65 have authorized since months ) ... here, in France, we built some reception centers or have transformed old school in home, but some horrible wankers already burned some , even mayors threat the government to give their departures ! What a shame ! Refugees are only 40 or 60 per village or small towns, sometimes only 3 families, its really bad faith, shame again and Nationalization ( extreme right side) of the minds ! Be clever, and stop to Listen media and angry and hungry politicians with long teeth ! We are talking about kids and families. Stop the blood, stop the tears, Make this 24 of October a great date and not one of those silly and hated day : don't believe gossips. Peace.

The Jungle in Calais, by Leo Boyd on Oct 25, 2016 11:11:29 GMT 1, The ultimate aim should always be for the families to get their homes back, their country back, and things organised there so in the future they can all live in peace. Yep, but with everyone having a smartphone nowadays a lottt more people can see that there are places in the world where things are actually organized, economically pretty stable and where we even hand out money to the 'poor'. Their own government and/or culture has proven for decades they are incapable of organizing a society like that, so they flock to the places in the world where we have ours**t down. Let me stress that for the real war-refugees there should be a solution (preferably close to their country of origin) but we, as a society simply can't take in all of the people just wanting a 'better life' while importing a culture that is so different from ours that it will inevitably lead to big social issues. And I truly don't get all the left wing idealist that just want to open up our borders to everyone that wants to live here. Don't you people see that that's simply impossible? Both economically and socially? you mean those countries that were well organised until we decided to use it as a proxy war zone? man you really do not have any idea of what is going on in the world do you?

The Jungle in Calais, by Leo Boyd on Oct 25, 2016 12:05:13 GMT 1, i cant believe i read that whole thread... man was that grim. but it was nice to read some people talking both with sense and commpassion... some of the other views were pretty sickening to be honest and i was pretty shocked to read it on a forum dedicated to a left wing anarco art movement. but i guess everyone has a right to their ingorant poorly thought out views... I have been planning to do some ant--war art for some time and this thread has given me the push cheers Leo

The Jungle in Calais, by Dr Plip on Oct 25, 2016 12:32:25 GMT 1, If someone wants to hand over their life savings in exchange for a place on an overcrowded boat, with a lifejacket that won't work, risk drowning to cross an ocean, march across mainland Europe, live in a squalid camp for months, then risk death or injury by walking through the channel tunnel or smuggling themselves onto a lorry or ferry just to get to the UK so they can work for a sh*t minimum wage, doing a sh*t job, live in a sh*t flat, surrounded by sh*t neighbours, reading sh*t newspapers quoting sh*t politicians talking sh*t about them, then f*ck it, as far as I'm concerned, they've earned that right.
I was just f**king born here. Put no effort in whatsoever.
The wankers we need to fear are at the very top, not the bottom.

The Jungle in Calais, by Coach on Oct 25, 2016 16:55:13 GMT 1, If someone wants to hand over their life savings in exchange for a place on an overcrowded boat, with a lifejacket that won't work, risk drowning to cross an ocean, march across mainland Europe, live in a squalid camp for months, then risk death or injury by walking through the channel tunnel or smuggling themselves onto a lorry or ferry just to get to the UK so they can work for a sh*t minimum wage doing a sh*t job, live in a sh*t flat, surrounded by sh*t neighbours,ย reading sh*t newspapers quoting sh*t politicians talking sh*t about them, then f*ck it, as far as I'm concerned, they've earned that right.
I was just f**king born here. Put no effort in whatsoever.
The wankers we need to fear are at the very top, not the bottom. If I wasn't so sick at the moment I would say something clever. For now:YES, f**kthoses**tfaces (I know you in UK use that as a slang for being drunk, I means**tface as in skit nylle)
Hope you feel better very soon Nordic x

The Jungle in Calais, by Coach on Oct 25, 2016 17:39:03 GMT 1, Oh I'm ok, I have a comfy bed, clean clothes, I can drink some tea whenever I choose, have a bath, and most importantly at least I don't have to live through the horror and pain that I or my loved ones might get killed by an insane war. Rather battle an illness than insanity of people's ignorance x
Beautifully put Nordic.

The Jungle in Calais, by crank on Oct 26, 2016 22:04:32 GMT 1, I used to be on this forum years ago under a different username reading some of the disgusting views - many from the forum founder - its reminded me why I don't post very often on here anymore.
I think there's a few people that clearly got lost on their way to the Britain First page and ended up posting their bullshit on here.

The Jungle in Calais, by Leo Boyd on Oct 27, 2016 8:23:35 GMT 1, just to add one last thing to this thread... i know people working in the camp in calais at the moment. They tell me that contrary to what is being said on all media outlets that the camps have not been cleared of people and that there are a lot of unaccompanied children being left to look after themselves. There aren't enough buses and it seems that France has run out of places to put people... So there we go... sometimes whatever you see on the telly or read in your daily mail is not actually the whole truth. Sometimes it is downright lies.

And this is what's wrong with urban art today. Years ago it used to be about different ideas and a different way of thinking. Sadly now there's lots of kids like 'offthehooksbooks' coming on here just to try and make a quick buck and totally missing the point.
It's just sad how many people these days don't understand what this forum used to be all about.
And that's me done in this thread.
