Looks like a few days off work coming up sorting out a 'catalogue' with individual pics etc. My stuff is in 5 different locations as well - what a pain, but must get a grip.....

On the other hand the good news is that if he puts the piece on a photocopier the mark won't show up on the copy!!!!!

I was visited by 2 of my 3 yesterday. The no show was the youngest who had been to a bash in Haggerston, which kicked off at lunchtime on Saturday, he went to the after show do + the after, after show do that finished at 2pm yesterday. Apparently, he wasn't feeling up to it - so the text went. I got cards from all 3, and Mrs M put a Moroccan lamb curry on the table. I completed the evening picking up a pair of Micallef head studies and a Tag diving watch on the bay whilst watching the cricket and golf.

Got there about 11am but didn't queue - had a coffee and took some pics of some fairly recent pieces around and about. Picked up a nice little 'pick up' tucked away in a wall recess in Woodseer Street.
Met up with 'skitchy' while he was queuing, he'd arrived at 8am and was about 100 back from the front.
Got in around midday after chatting with a lady just outside who was trying to sell a Gavin T from 2009 for ยฃ200 ono - tempted but not really a fan especially after seeing the 'balloons' for ยฃ100!!
I wish I'd been more resolute and got on the end of the PureEvil queue - so missed out on that bargain.
Did get the ยฃ50 CB tube tho'
Quite an enjoyable outing - not sure I'd queue for 4+ hours if it returns next year

Inexpensive way to store larger A0 prints , by Trevorm on May 23, 2013 13:34:14 GMT 1, I use 2 pieces of clear 10mm twin wall polycarb. roof sheeting. I cut them to just over A0 size with some cable ties set through both sheets down one side to act as 'hinges'. It's light and sits on top of my plan chest.

As the plan is for it to go straight up on the wall one that's already framed is probably preferable.

Most of the discolouring looks like the result of handling, so it's cleaning off fingerprints and grime really. Might be a good reason to put yr canvas in a frame first time round.

It wasn't a lot of money - but it is 'grubby' and there are a couple of faint stains, on the predominantly grey background that don't look like they were part of the artists intended addition to the piece.
Any ideas, out there, on how I can improve or refresh the piece. It was only ยฃ70 (ish) so I'm not in the take along to a restorer mode.
